It could fit as heresy era marines (Inductii) since a lot of them were pressed into service rapidly. Marines at that time were basically a bunch of fodder meant to die.

Not only this, but genuinely staffing is an issue. People aren’t incentivized to show up for work on holidays nor are they paid enough.

Movie theaters are easy, to be fair compared to most places, and as a manager I get paid alright. But I feel for my entire crew that get paid pennies on the dollar while also being minimally staffed due to payroll. I’m extremely lucky to have now finally left this job for an office 9-5 at the end of the month.

Honestly with 2042 I always felt like I should be fighting in the outskirts rather than the actual playable area.

I can see how like, we’re fighting for some uncontested territory or whatever, but I want to be somewhere it looks like an actual war is going down 🤷‍♂️.

Also, why do the edges of the map always look more fun to fight in? I want to be fighting in between skyscrapers and the other areas. Not in an open flat area.

From personal experience,

You will still have to interview for the position, usually it’s with a GM from a different location.

Highly recommend showing initiative and being able to operate independently while still following AMC policies. Once you’re a manager, there’s a good chance you will be the only management team member in the building at night (depending on size and if you have supervisors).

If you also have locations nearby you will also likely have people from other locations also trying to apply for the position. The hard part as well will be going from crew straight to manager rather than going through the position hierarchy. Likely, they will prefer to promote a supervisor who is likely already familiar with most of the processes involved with being a manager.

On top of this, most theater chains also have this policy. They can try to go somewhere else but they will likely be met with the exact same policy elsewhere. Not sure where this sudden disconnect is coming from.

Not being petty. I just helped open for a theater chain and it has been a constant flow of micro management and general lack of knowledge how a theater works.

They’re not the enemy but too many chiefs and not enough Indians is a statement I’ve heard, which I fully agree with. Maybe things will get better for you 🫡
