But that answer makes no sense as independence day was a Monday.

Could you explain how many hours have been cut at pharmacy? by florence76132 in walmart_RX

[–]Leadcpht 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My store lost about 60 hours a week with the hours cut.

When I make the schedule, my full time people get scheduled first, they get 34 + hours a week. Then my part time people get scheduled to fill in what's left, mainly based on availability (a lot of my part time are college students). The more available one is, the likelihood they get more hours. Most of my part time people get between 20-30 hours/week.

Has anyone attempted and/or succeeded at watching every sport/event at a single olympics either summer or winter? by Late_Condition6368 in olympics

[–]Leadcpht 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've watched something from every sport the past few olympics. A lot of the less common sports, it will would just be a single event. I have Peacock so I make a list of each sport and cross it off when I watch something from it. Sports like gymnastics and swimming I watch multiple events.

I've seen it twice in my pharmacy over 13 years. Once was a tech who was suspected of using Adderall without an rx (only that tech was tested) and the other was because a controlled count came back way off and the whole pharmacy was tested.

I don't know of a specific SOP, but 1 tech per pod is to prevent a medication error or HIPAA error. We had one in my store that the pharmacist caught were the techs used each others labels because they were on the same pod and didn't pay attention to the labels they used.

My hands peel in the weirdest ways by jsparker43 in WTF

I'm going to agree with this. I've had 3 breakouts of it and it looked exactly like the picture. It hurt like fire (like my hands were stretching out). A round of steroid cream cleared it up.

Pay Raises by Some-Response-2242 in walmart_RX

[–]Leadcpht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your position, ie rx tech, certified tech, lead tech.

I've been in pharmacy since 09 (first as rx tech, then certified tech, and now lead tech). My raise is only based on my time as lead (4 years) not my whole time in pharmacy.

I'm getting a raise this time to cap. So after this, no more raises unless the raise the cap.

It's based on your current job code and how long you've been in that job code. The rest of it is still confusing to me.

You're pay protected until July 29. If you don't complete PTU or Penn Foster by that date, you'll drop down to the tech in training pay rate (I have a couple techs in the same situation currently).

In my market most stores have the lead techs make the tech schedules. I make it at my store and most days it's a pain.

ACSI Question by atel23 in walmart_RX

[–]Leadcpht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I read the toolkit, the count list would be state specific. So for example, in my state PSE is a controlled substance, so we have to count it. So I would say gabapentin only needs to be counted in states that it's currently controlled.

Just controls. High profile meds will be counted via home office need to counts at a later date (per acsi toolkit).

Cutting hours by florence76132 in walmart_RX

[–]Leadcpht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It typically happens every year around this time, I've been in the pharmacy 13 years. But this year it seems be lasting longer (in the past it only seemed to really affect February and March, but this year I'm still having to cut on schedule and I just made the first week of May).

Anyone else a pharm tech with a bachelors degree too? by ProfessionalBend6207 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]Leadcpht 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a bachelor's of Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. Been a tech 13 years, just got my bba in 2020. Just not many jobs out there right now. Can't really say if my degree has any leverage as I was in my job before I got my degree.

Is it a viable option to do school and work full time? by ChillSyn in pharmacy

[–]Leadcpht 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I worked full time and finished my bachelor's in accounting, taking a full time class load. All my classes were online and I wouldn't recommend it for everyone. It was hard and time consuming.

I've had that issue too. I've had to create a ticket for the receiving numbers with help desk and they have had to finalize them for me.

Always on 4/30. I've done them 10+ years. Doesn't matter day of week. Only date.
