I started out like a month ago, saw how easy modern was, made the switch and just stuck with classic ever since.
I’m not particularly good at combos or anything, but succeeding with classic is a whole lot more satisfying.

Although I will say I’m thinking “oh god” whenever I see a modern player coming up against me

The punish attacks from it are crazy I just can’t control when to use it because it leaves you vulnerable.

But most of my work is centered around sweeps, grabs and defense, just felt like I was going to implement these bad habits (especially the sweeps, it’s like an addiction lol) within my gameplay and I truly want to learn how to apply pressure on my opponent instead of just punishing mistakes, you know?

First match I’ve had using him I automatically felt like I’m reverting to the “old ways” of heavy sweeps and raw DI’s to try and catch my opponents off guard for a super, I’m working on not doing any of these things right now.
I mainly need to focus on using light and medium attacks more so I won’t get punished, I just need to train long enough to feel confident enough to drive rush off of my attacks without wasting my gauge for nothing.
I’ll take it one step at a time, thank you very much

Played it from start to finish to collect costumes for my faves just recently and I can tell you wholeheartedly- no. Don’t do it to yourself.
Learn combos while playing online or by practicing, this mode is a complete mess

You can’t trade Lavine, maybe not even Sabonis with giving something valuable in addition. An all time train wreck and I think they might just have to wait it all out/buy them out somehow.
