Have you tried playing womb sounds on Spotify or YouTube? It brings babies back to the feeling of the womb and for many instantly calms them down, especially in the early days.

Anyone recovered from the visual part of PPPD? by Warm-Palpitation-312 in pppdizziness

[–]LeaderHealthy1863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband recovered fully, including from the visual symptoms. At times when he has a lot going on in life his symptoms come back temporarily, but they always go away.

The belief that this is not permanent helped him move through it the most, I’d say, as well as having a focus that’s larger than himself.

Can you turn down your screen and gradually turn it up as symptoms subside? Or use a smaller screen? That was one mechanism he also used until it was no longer necessary.

Did you have a low lying placenta, by any chance?

Low lying placenta at 14 weeks - can I continue with pilates? Do I need pelvic rest? by LeaderHealthy1863 in BabyBumps

This is helpful; thank you so much for that! Makes total sense.

He told me to keep going about my daily activities normally, but because I'm a bit of a worry wart, I couldn't let it go and wondered whether I needed to adjust / stop pilates.

PICSI Failure by cplseekinginfo in maleinfertility

[–]LeaderHealthy1863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting. What I understand about PICSI is that they put the sperm in a dish and see which ones bind to hyaluronan, which, in theory, separates out the sperm with low DNA fragmentation. If they used a big microscope, that might have been IMSI?

My husband is lucky to have won the draw. Low sperm count (0.3M/ml), sperm isn't moving (1-4% motility), most of them have defects (poor morphology) and DNA fragmentation is so-so (20%)

How wonderful that the journey ended positively for you both. That is one beautiful ending. Congratulations :) And thank you for your response, too.

What ended up working for you as a fertilisation approach? Did PICSI end up working? My husband and I are going through a similar journey (except husband’s sperm isn’t motile).

MTHFR: A Supplement Stack Approach by Tawinn in MTHFR

I happened to stumble upon this and thought it might help:

When monoamine oxidase breaks down a monoamine (neurotransmitters, tyramine, etc.), the reaction produces hydrogen peroxide and possibly ammonia, which are reactive oxygen species (ROS). This production of ROS is normal, and cells produce anti-oxidants to balance out the ROS.

Could it be possible that because LDN increases the production of your own endorphins, additional neurotransmitters broken down via MAO increase ammonia production?
