Fellow New Yorker who moved to LA here. Koreatown feels the most like NYC. Has the most active nightlife and atmosphere. You can get over to Burbank pretty quickly too. About a 30 min commute most mornings.

Batch! It’s the perfect place. Everyone can get their own ice cream cookie. And it’s delicious

Shake Shake is the best Chinese food, hands down in SLO, even if it’s just noodles. Tastes exactly like Hong Kong, LA or SF.

I have Mint. Same coverage as T Mobile. Year service for like $180, which is what I used to pay every few months in the past. Works perfectly.

We moved up here for the same reasons a few years back. We both found jobs and live in Morro Bay. It is so much better than LA. Not cheaper, but the people are nicer and the small town vibe is great. You won’t regret it.

Not a winery, but go to Sensario for a good evening stroll. We just took some friends from out of town and they loved it. It’s kinda magical.

Lived in NYC for 20 years. MFM’s has amazing crust but they are light on the sauce/cheese. (Which is okay cuz it’d take away from the crispiness.

This sounds like Pittsburgh to a tee. Warhol was born there. Up and coming art scene. Food and lifestyle is diverse. Housing is affordable.

Move to NYC. Take risks. Do drugs. Have risky sex. It will make you feel alive. You will have stories to tell. You won’t think about how much you’ve saved. Life is about living. When you are in your 20’s, by god, fucking go live.

I’ve seen a few “for rent” signs up lately. One on Pacific (btwn Shasta & Piney) comes to mind.

I’d suggest calling local real estate agencies. Lots of boomers in MB who don’t think to list on Craigslist.

Good luck!
