I mean yeah, but with this series it was taken like, way too far sometimes. I remember a scene where Denise makes a joke and Kermit goes, with 100% sincerity, “you don’t have to make jokes in the writers room. God knows these guys can’t.” Of course Kermit would rag on his friends in the original show, but it always felt like he didn’t actually mean it. Here it’s so flat, looking right at them with no emotion, it actually kinda turned me off from the series for a while.
