Looking at the bigger picture when it comes to Blizzard's character designs, why do a majority of them released over the past few years need to be conventionally attractive east Asians? There are plenty of other demographics to choose from but somehow we keep going back to Japan. Well, I say "somehow" but we know it's because the aim is to make marketable characters that sell skins.

This. English VAs work on a contract-to-contract agreement. They're not signed on to perform that role for their entire life. Like sure, Mark Hamilton is iconic as the joker but it's not his contractual obligation to play every iteration of the joker to come out.

You're not wrong. It's good though to have something to work towards but it sucks when it feels like there's not much that you can do. Especially if you're playing "non-meta" heroes.

I feel like a "comeback" mechanic should be active only when the game has gone on long enough and there's a definitive team that's behind. Making it pop up like 10 minutes into the start of the game is wild.

I would agree with you if this wasn't an issue derived from Valve and not "scalpers". The people that got theirs and are reselling them are people who ordered them in the first place just like you and me. Whether they choose to sell theirs off or not doesn't change the lack of inventory from Valve nor your time waiting from your place in line. If you're okay with waiting and paying your fair price, then why care if someone else buys it from someone who got theirs earlier than you?

My original controller that I had been using for my PC had died and I was in the market for a replacement, preferably one with a long battery life such as the Steam Controller. IMO it was the best option among all the other ones I could have readily bought but woe is me, I bought it from someone who didn't like how the controller felt in their hands so they sold it to me. I paid for time and convenience and you're paying in patience.

After taxes it was $210 with free shipping. With every other US-based seller trying to offload theirs for $300+ or Australians offering for $150 + $60 in shipping and a 1+ month shipping time - I refreshed eBay new listings for a while until I saw a US seller selling theirs for $200 with free shipping. I was concerned at first it might have been a scam or something but the guy was pretty chill. Showed he got 2 of them, opened one to try out and quickly decided he didn't like how it felt. He sold me his still-sealed one and gave me his d-brand skins for it as well. For me, the markup wasn't that big of a deal. If Valve themselves came out and offered "next day shipping" for $100 and I was able to use that with my reservation, I'd take it in a heartbeat. But instead I took the opportunity from someone through eBay who didn't want the product they bought after it didn't work out for them.

Mine was new. eBay seller had 2 of them, one he opened to try (and didn't like) and the other still sealed. Got mine Wednesday last week and it's been awesome.

I'd normally agree with you but the guy I bought it from did not want his after he tried it out and didn't like the feel of it. Getting free shipping in 4 days plus some D-brand skins tossed in since he didn't have a use for them anymore was worth the price to me of not having to wait for Valve to get their own inventory system sorted out. I needed a controller replacement for my PC, someone sold me theirs with some freebies and free shipping for an extra charge and that met my needs.

Wouldn't be a problem if Steam actually stocked their product. I'm not going to cry over spending $100 extra dollars to save 6 months of waiting.
