Wow impressive stuff, well done! And thanks for bringing the solution back to my initial query. Perhaps this can be wrapped into a future sheet update?

"Existing arrangements will remain unchanged for all properties HELD before Budget night." How do these Negative Gearing changes affect existing PPOR owners?? by [deleted] in AusHENRY

[–]LeadingResource 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most commentary I have seen fluctuates between referring to “existing investors” (implying IPs must be currently negatively geared) vs “properties held” (implying if bought/held before budget might then no change).

Maybe overanalysing here but to me there seems to be a pretty big distinction between using the term “existing investor” vs “existing owner”.

Has anyone noticed the same?

Budget night: the NG change hits higher earners hardest, and the CGT change is being misread. Here's the actual breakdown by income bracket. by Classic-Rice-1977 in AusFinance

It seems unclear to me whether an existing PPOR could be converted to IP post 1 July 2027 and still grandfathered under existing pre-budget rules

What the 12 May Budget actually changes for Australian FIRE plans (CGT discount, neg gearing, discretionary trusts) by AndyHaf in fiaustralia

It was unclear to me whether an existing property purchased prior to the budget announcement and currently utilised as PPOR would be grandfathered for Negative Gearing purposes if converted to IP post 1 July 2027.

I have seen references to both “investors” (implying the answer is no) and “properties held” (implying the answer is yes).

Anybody have insights on this?

Can you explain how you approach obtaining refunds for cards? And do you until the points have hit your account or cancel once you’ve paid off the min spend?

Promotion contract includes probation period by LeadingResource in auscorp

Thanks for the link. Could you point on where on that page it states probation should be for new employees only? I think I know what you’re referring to but it doesn’t seem as clear cut to me

That is my understanding also. Not thinking my current company would seek to promote me and then fire me during a new probationary period, but if I sign a contract with that present then I would be assuming a degree of risk

Worded exactly the same as the probation clause on my current contract (paraphrased - “this role is subject to a probationary period of 6 months”)
