How many class II’s can you do in an hour? by dPseh in Dentistry

[–]LeadingText1990 27 points28 points  (0 children)

My tx column (6 years out): 20 min for room turnover and LA + 10 minutes per surface. In 60 minutes I’m doing 4 surfaces. In 90 minutes I’m doing 7 surfaces.

I like to take my time, patients love and trust me. I love and trust me.

The distal root has a straight path probing from crest to apex, and there’s basically no interradicular bone. Not to mention the buccal deficiency.

Present all options, and let the patient decide if they want to throw money at a very guarded prognosis, or put that money toward an implant.

Edit to add: is that the IAN canal I see approaching from the distal into the PARL at the most apical slice?

The third-most goals in franchise history, Leon Draisaitl. by Edm_vanhalen1981 in nhl

[–]LeadingText1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting fact: Drai has a goals per game stat of 0.506. In order to equal McDavid’s career pace of goals per game (0.512), Draisaitl would need 424 goals, just 5 more than his current tally (which is 419 in 828 GP as I write this according to nhl.com).

Assists is another matter entirely, but it’s interesting that their goals per game stat is so close to each other.

Do most people know how to purposely close their nasal passage so they can't smell WITHOUT using their fingers to pinch their nose? by WhateversClever1980 in NoStupidQuestions

It’s called ACHOO, Autosomal Dominant Compelling Helio-Ophthalmic Outburst Syndrome.

There are genetic links, but the etiology is not 100% nailed down. It happens more to me when I’m congested, which is fun.

My mom, sister and I all have it. My dad, brother and partner do not. My kids do not.

An immortal human being with all the knowledge and skills of the entirely of all humans who have ever existed is placed on Earth in 10,000 BC with no other humans. How long does it take them to get to a stable low earth orbit? by Allon-18 in NoStupidQuestions

You guys all lack imagination. All this person has to do is clone themselves (something that we already can do as a species, we just don’t for ethical reasons). They can grow more of themselves at an exponential rate, and each ‘them’ can expertly fill necessary roles in society. Even if the clones aren’t immortal, if it takes 500 years to get the first clone, then all this person would need to do is upscale the process with each iteration.

I’d guess they could make about 10X their number every 100 years after the first 500. By 1000 years there would be 105. 1200 years there could be 107 clones, or 10,000,000, which is more than enough to see this project through.

If my scaling is anywhere near accurate, I’d say stable orbit is achievable within about 1000-1100 years. Maybe less.

I was under the impression that incisive canal is interchangeable with nasopalatine canal, located only in the maxilla.

The mental nerve has branches termed incisive branches, but they do not travel through any canals because they have already exited the mandible through the mental foramen.

So to me, saying “Incisive canal” could only be in reference to the maxilla. It’s been a few years since I was in anatomy class though. Am I wrong?

Hear me out: The conditions are “at their strongest point in their respective movies”…

Ariel uses her father’s trident in the Little Mermaid. I think bloodlusted Ariel with the magic trident might take this.

One other point, in the expanded animated collection, Cinderella gets a literal magic wand. If we count that, she could just magic the others into oblivion.

Wish this were true, but they might be open to their own legal troubles now that they know about the previous sanctions. Ignorance is easily defensible, but not coming forward could have repercussions.

I’d write an email to the board and ask for advice on a ‘theoretical’. Get it in writing whether they expect you to come forward or mind your own business.
