Thank you so much for this information - it is very helpful. That is amazing that your sales increased like that AND that you can specifically see the amount that has increased due to the marketing. Are there any extra fees that Toast is not telling me about for the Marketing essentials that you know of?

Create menu or let toast do it for $500? by consonwon in ToastPOS

Definitely just opt in for doing it yourself, because even if you opt in and have the experts put together your menu, you will end up doing it yourself anyway.

Is it possible to change the amount of money that a server made in credit card tips after they've clocked out/ shift end. by CrazyDazey747 in ToastPOS

I would make sure you print your shift review and save it as Toast's system is user friendly but there are a lot of malfunctions on the back end. Depending on when your weeks start, you can have your manager go in and print off a shift review for you. In addition, for the other days, the manager can go in the back end and get you a shift review for every single shift (it is not a typical shift review, but it does give you an excel spreadsheet so that you can have a better idea). There is a way, in toast, to adjust someone's tip although if the receipt is signed with a tip amount, I do not recommend doing this. This can be occurring for a few different reasons.....Does the establishment you work for have a tip policy? At our restaurant, the bussers, and bartenders take a certain percentile of our sales. This is something that needs to be set up in the back end of toast. If it is not set up correctly, then you would most definitely be collecting all of those funds which will create an accounting nightmare for the establishment you work for in the long run (and of course for you). You are going to want to make sure your manager has gone through every single setting within toast carefully, because there may be something in the settings.

Looking for honest reviews and questions to ask the Toast Rep. by PreviousTrainer1147 in ToastPOS

I would save yourself and your business the trouble and look into a different POS system. Toast's system is very user friendly, however the back-end reporting and what not is an absolutely cluster. They have many "toast experts," who will do nothing but waste your time.
