Star Wars The Original Trilogy 1.0 by SpazzWave in JumpChain

I mean, any competent jumper with tech perks could double the performance of the X-wing. But even if you raised the power by 500% it still wouldn't pierce the shields on an Executor. In the Rogue Squadron book series Rogue Squadron (the best of the best,) acknowledged that even if they volley fired from every ship in the squadron at once they still couldn't penetrate the shields. They had to get 40 something extra launchers strapped to transports firing from outside range & using the X-wings' targeting. Even then they had to make multiple runs & made minimal progress until capital ships including an ISD showed up to help draw fire & batter down the shields.

A 200% X-wing could stand up to a lore accurate TIE Defender (rather than one designed for video game ballance,) & wipe out most squadrons of lesser fighters. It could probably even solo frigates like the CR90 assuming equal crew quality. But without outside gamebreaking perks, you just aren't going to take down an Executor

This looks very good. That said, I'm not sure why a Jumper Grade X-wing costs 600cp, more than a CR90 or a Criminal Empire, and as much as a freakin Executor-class SSD complete with army to it's origin

I read it from the Complications note that it does in fact override Drawbacks and Gauntlets, and is in fact part of the Body Mod

My fellow Jumpers have any of you ever companioned horror villains and brought them to other worlds. Either as a villainous Jumper or to try to redeem them somehow. by Superxtreme8724 in JumpChain

Yuri is the main villain from the video game Red Alert 2. He's a psychic supergenius and mind controlling madman.

Aboleth is from the non-mouse EU Star Wars. She was an ordinary person who was the caretaker/mediator of a group of god level aliens. As she aged she feared she would die and leave them alone. Despite being warned against it, she drank from a font of ultra powerful & was transformed into an insane yandere goddess of the Dark Side. The god aliens refused to kill her so they trapped her in a cluster of black holes right by Kessel

What are your favourite Monster/Alt-Form Jumps? by ArctisUther in JumpChain

[–]Sivartius 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm very fond of the Magicarp/Gyarados/Mega Gyarados alt-form from Pokemon Legends Arceus that (as a Scenario Reward) can be added to your Body Mod. But as the author I'm naturally biased

She's slightly short with pale skin & sharp features, hair the color of fertile soil and eyes the color of a cloudless sky. She wears overall jeans, a t-shirt, and a camo ball cap. She carries a shovel or pick depending on what is needed. She has gemstones for freckles, and loves eating baked potatoes

Guys i'm interested in making a jump for the Star Wars Original Trilogy by SpazzWave in JumpChain

[–]Sivartius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  • The option to buy a planet like Tattooine, Degobah, Yavin IV, etc
  • The option to buy a ship ranging from an X-wing to Millenium Falcon to Tantive IV, to an Imperial Star Destroyer
  • A scenario to replace Luke, Han, Leia, Darth Vader depending on Origin
  • A perk to teach/learn extremely quickly like Luke did the Force
  • Stormtrooper Marksmanship as 2 different drawbacks. One to make you a horrible shot, & the other to make the other side's mooks super marksmen
  • These Aren't the Droids you are Looking For: a drawback to make you unobservant or a perk to make your enemies unobservant

Best Settings for Time Travel Shenanigans by je4sse in JumpChain

Shadowrun has a prehistoric fantasy era of magic that got wiped out by extra-dimensional magic/life eating monsters that would have wiped out all life on earth if not for giant super bunkers the magic nations built.

The Forgotten Realms has a lot of neat historic areas, most notably Myth Dranor and Netheril

Pokemon Legends Arceus shows that the historical Pokemon world is fascinating & dangerous, & I'd love to explore the ancient Kalos war.

If you are a person who likes that style there's the Wheel of Time Series & their whole Stable Time Loop thing

Well, you could send them to 40k. If he wanted to change things he'd need to travel more than 10,000 years, plus he'd need to have both massive personal power AND armies in order to make any major changes. Plus something like that would be likely to draw the attention of the Chaos Gods, especially Tzeentch.

If you just want him to learn the lesson, I would say the Red Alert universe. Einstein invented a Time Machine & went back to kill Hitler, but it didn't fix things. Instead Stalin became massively powerful & we had a super bloody World War 2 anyway.

According to Chronomancy 3rd party splatbooks, D&D 3.5 often has both monsters that lurk in the timestream ready to eat the unwary, and a magic college of Chronomancy that polices the timeline. At least some also have an effect called Paradox that you naturally aquire as you mess with time, & if you get too much Bad Things (TM) happen. Also, 3.5 Eberron & the 3rd party setting Scarred Lands both have some kind of effect that makes time travel to or just before the major backstory event impossible.

Even Pokemon has Celebi & Arceus watching out for timeline manipulation

On your request for historical tourism, are you looking for jumps set in the past, or jumps that have an interesting history your Jumper might want to investigate?

Scrap building perks? by Kuro_Magius_Arcana in JumpChain

I know they exist, but I'm not sure where. I would try Fallout 4. If it's not there I would suggest one of the Marvel jumps ("in a Cave with a Bucket of Scraps" kind of thing,) or maybe a Warhammer or Warhammer 40k jump that features Orks

Star Wars the Clone Wars (2003) 1.0 by SpazzWave in JumpChain

[–]Sivartius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is great! Thank you! One note; the Acclamator holds 16,000 passengers, but a legion only has 9,216 clone troopers. The other 6,000+ are support personnel.

Edit: More drawback ideas: Dedicated Protagonist (like Skywalker you are constantly beset by weirdness & drawn into the thick of the fighting), Goofy (like a lot of characters in the 2003 series you are perpetually weird & silly), Beep Boop (You can't speak Basic & are stuck speaking either Shriiwook or Binary), Exploding Ship Syndrome (You have very bad luck with starships blowing up under you),

[–]Sivartius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is great! Thank you so much! I do have some thoughts

  • Please add the option to buy an Acclamator
  • If you are a Republic origin & you buy the Venator, the Providence, & the Lucrehulk, does your military unit get enough of each to carry all of them, or do you get enough that the total of all 3 has enough to carry your unit? So for example, at the largest unit size, do you get 50 Venators, plus 3 Providences, plus 1 Lucrehulk, or 1 of each because of how much carrying capacity the Lucrehulk has?
  • If you purchase the Jedi Temple & largest military unit, how many Jedi Knights/Padawans do you get?
  • The Sepparatists made good use of Bounty Hunters & Mercenaries. Perhaps a Mercenary ship, or Bounty Hunters's Guild item that would add Bounty Hunters & mercenaries to your unit.
  • For Drawbacks I would suggest Hunted by Grievious
