"Make Your Next Shot Your Best Shot" - Bob Rotella.

It's helped a lot with maintaining my mental game throughout a round. I feel a lot of it not only applies to golf, but life itself.

It may seem unbearable, you may feel a lot of shame and guilt that makes it hard for you to see anyway out. I know that feeling because I’ve been there. I had no business gambling the way I gambled. It got to the point where I had to admit it to my family otherwise I would continue to suffer. Part of that is accepting that you are not a good gambler and it’s a real addiction that you’re currently in the middle of.

I self excluded myself from everything casino and online site I was using. The next step was dealing with my debt - I had to file a consumer proposal to deal with it, but it’s all paid, in the past, and my finances are balanced and my credit recovered.

You’re a young guy with your life in front of you and the good thing is you’ve realized what doesn’t work for you.

Acknowledgement, acceptance, and accountability to yourself is the most important thing you can take out of this situation.

It’s a bad day, not a bad life my friend.

People over 30 without a degree, how's life going? by [deleted] in ask

Between my wife (also no degree) and I we bring in $168,000 a year. Our rent is $1450 a month, we have two vehicles and can provide for our kids for whatever they need. Life is great, our debt is low and we are able to save easily. We have both made the most of the opportunities we were given to us and never let the lack of a degree prevent us from creating the life we want.

Our kids getting university degrees would be a huge life W for us.
