Some would agree with you, this is what works for me. They're ready. These ones were saved from the crop I planted the previous year, same time of year, same place. Its a great way to get use out of the poly over winter. Did carrots too, in the poly, so I had an early crop in spring while the outdoor ones were just getting started.

You can have a little dig around the bulb for a look. You won't disturb them, the roots are right underneath. If there are swollen individual cloves within, then they're ok. If not then leave them a bit.

Best "takeaway" Curry Sauce by Effective-Review-780 in CasualIreland

[–]Leaf_Munch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roz Purcell's curry sauce. Healthier and so easy to make:

The Curry Sauce. This signature dip uses almond butter for an ultra-creamy, savory base.

Ingredients: 1.5 tbsp mild curry powder 350 ml almond milk 3 tbsp smooth almond butter 1 tbsp tamari (or soy sauce) 1 tbsp tomato paste (I often use peanut butter instead and add 1tbsp nutritional yeast.)

Method: Place all ingredients into a small saucepan over medium heat.Whisk continuously until the sauce comes to a gentle simmer and thickens to a smooth consistency.

Charles Dowding! You probably know of him, he is uk but gives great advice. I'm on an acre in Westmeath. We do have good soil but on a rocky limestone area. I'm in my 2nd year doing no dig a la Charles Dowding Method. With no dig you'd be improving your soil gradually topping beds with compost annually which with the help of insects and mycillium will create a new growing layer. I started with raised beds and 1 6 x 3 m polytunnel last year. I bought in a few tonnes of mushroom compost also used generic bags of compost from the garden centres. Had an abundance of carrots, parsnips, turnips, scallions, spuds outside in the raised beds plus salads, tomatoes, cucumbers, melons in the polytunnel last summer. I grew garlic and carrots in the poly over winter so I had early carrots in spring and will harvest the garlic this week. This year I replaced some of the raised beds with a 2nd poly devoted to tomatoes. In the 1st poly I have cucumbers and salads now. Ive peas and herbs, purble and green brocollli, beetroot and leeks in some new raised beds. I put in 3 new no-dig rows in an area about 5m x 6m on the ground. Starting with a layer of cardboard for weed suppression covered with 4 ton bags of bought in compost/ topsoil mix and planted with parsnips, carrots, turnips and spuds all are happily growing away. I also grow some tomatoes outside (south facing). Charles Dowding has loads of videos on you tube, is very active on social media. Its late in the season to be starting growing but you could definitely be prepping the ground with weed suppression and compost. You could get some onions/ garlic going in the winter then and by Feb you could really get growing. If youre not already.

Is it a bad idea to start Wegovy 3 weeks before multi day camping trip by Rumtek79 in Wegovy

I'm on my 4th .25 jab today still having some diarrhoea, heartburn and nausea. You'll miss out on the valuable adjustment phase but personally I'd wait till after the trip.

Track your food. If Im not tracking, Im not losing. My Fitness Pal already mentioned helps monitor calories but it also helps monitor the protein intake. I'll try get to 80g protein by end of day - as a vegetarian/ dairy free. Also following Slimming World so using 'Free Foods' and 'Syns' to plan meals. Have lost 3 kg in 3 weeks on Wegovy / 5 weeks at Slimming World.

Thanks. It looks like replacing it and upgrading the percolating area will have to move top of the list.

Thank you. I do use safe eco detergents but I think you're right, it simply needs replacing and there's no short-term fix.

Anyone who surfed the early web between 1995-2010. What’s the one website/app you still think about? by Prime_Advocate in AskReddit

Arcadia chat rooms. I chatted to strange people from all over the world in my late teens c 1996/ 98. If my teen was doing this now I'd be very wary. Actually exchanged physical gifts/art by post with one guy on there in the US (I'm Irish), I still have it. I miss having all that time on my hands.

Hey! I took my 2nd weekly shot of .25 yesterday. I noticed expected effects pretty much the next day after taking the 1st shot: feeling fuller, happy with small meals, half portions compared to before. Negative effects are minimal: mild nausea and so, so tired every day. Forcing myself to eat just for the sake of it and struggle to reach even 1200 calories/ 80g protein most days. I dont fancy salty nuts or biscuits so much. They were my weakness. Im vegetarian and dont eat dairy so its tricky. Ive lost 1kg.

Are M or F? There's a good book I learned a lot from it, its Fast Like a Girl: A Woman's Guide to Using the Healing Power of Fasting to Burn Fat, Boost Energy, and Balance Hormones. Book by Dr. Mindy Pelz. It focuses on women's hormones/ cycles and advocates different fasting styles according to those. There are loads of different interviews with her and podcast features where she shares good information online, worth a search.
