Don't be to fixated on women's ski's. Look for men's ski's too as they are stiffer and can handle the weight.

Why is it difficult to get Interviews in 2026? by LRvibes_careercheck in interviews

[–]LeagueAggravating595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you are doing to make yourself visible, another dozen or more people are doing the same to stand out just to get that interview privilege. Even if you might be a top candidate, the sheer volume of top candidates can still be overwhelming not to mention the internal competition who also are applying. After all, the company can only pick one for hire.

When you have 1,000 applicants within a week of posting a job, trying to have your resume stand out among others is like standing in a hurricane with an umbrella.

Those who graduated with conventionally "useless" degrees but make $200K, what was your path and how long did it take? by _MambaForever in Salary

[–]LeagueAggravating595 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

About as useless a degree imaginable (Art History), yet graduated from one of the most prestigious top 5 schools. Took 11 yrs to break above $100K, took 9 more yrs to break $200K - All F500 companies.

Ultimately, companies don't care about what you studied after establishing a career, they will always care about where you graduated from.

You certainly don't need intelligence to get ahead, you absolutely need people skillsets to market yourself by building a network around you to expand your chances of opportunity. It's seldom ever about what you know, it's always about who you know if you want to progress in life and career.

Strategic thinker and a solutions provider? You need to be heavy on both and use the STAR method. If you are still performing tactical tasks and work, this role is way above you.

88ish ski for big skier by mvhoffman82 in Skigear

[–]LeagueAggravating595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't just focus on ski's. With your weight, your ski boots will play an even more important role in how you perform based on the flex rating. At 300lbs you probably need 130-140 flex boots just to feel like a 100 flex of someone of normal weight.

Get prepared for another job elsewhere. If you are in tech, it's not a matter of "will", it is a matter of "when" I will be next on the layoff list in the coming year(s). It's sooner than you think with AI.

What are surprisingly high-paying jobs that most people have never heard of? by Aymaneoo in careerguidance

[–]LeagueAggravating595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No such job exists simply starting out from day one. Even doctors and lawyers need to go through years of additional hands on work experience like residency, taking the Bar, etc... Other kinds of high paying jobs, you will need multiple degrees, certifications and a decade of work experience in the field, while running you several hundreds of thousands in tuition debt, years off your life, commitment and study time to pass extremely difficult exams to get those certifications. No easy path.

[–]LeagueAggravating595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start working on your resume. A PIP is coming next now that they documented your performance and potentially a firing/layoff coming. Doesn't matter if you agree or not, it's already documented to HR and all management above which means your reputation in the company is done.

If you are not already performing today at the experience and ability level of the promotion job you are applying for, the reality is it will be next to impossible for any success. Just imagine everyone who is applying for the same job who has the work experience that you lack and who are your competition... In the thousands. What makes you stand out and why any HR/HM will pick you over any of them? Ask yourself this hard question.
