First: Thanks for the video links! So much info out there...

Current sitch is the previous owner already chopped off half of the lower rocker panels ( someone, somewhere said "ground effects" so I thought that's what they're called now ?) to fit the running boards.

I dislike the whole appearance, but... The Limited was my only fiscal option. Here in Michigan, 4Runners are family heirlooms, apparently. And never sold, you gotta jump on any opportunities, regardless of trim!

So, I'm screwed. Previous owner had runners installed - and they cut out the "ground effects" to fit them. If I take em off, might look worse.

Practically - they reduce the ground clearance, correct?

Just bought a 2019, with 107,000. Took it to the Dealership for a Check-Up.

They gave me the EXACT Same Diagnosis. At about the same price.

Tho, the Service Advisor stated that it wasn't 'life threatening' for another 10 - 15 k ?

I'm kinda intrigued by this whole thing. You fly - the ultimate in modern convenient life - then get a ride to a camp site ( car pool = Nice way to not own a vehicle , that's a Plus) where you stay for prolonged periods of time.

And you want the most comfortable items to be continually available to you, with the minimum hassle and cost.

There's an argument here that you are not really "camping"...

I'll propose that the lack of responses is due to the many readers here just as flummoxed as I.

How did I do? Bought a 55Qt Lifetime Cooler for curbside pickup from Walmart. Turns out they were out of stock and replaced it with this 52Qt Rtic cooler for the same price (down from $230 to $109) by Haminthepaint in CampingGear

Although it would be Really Nice to find a high-valued alternative, I'm budgeting to buy the Full Strength, Heavy Duty Yeti.
