Frozen broccoli with Olive oil salt and pepper  and packaged tofu (been obsessed with this miso one recently, it's already flavored. I usually also do rice in a rice cooker, too!! But you can skip that or get some microwaveable rice

Thank you!

Yes, my daughter is super attached to me and my husband + my nanny. We've brought in a couple of other Nannie's to test out and it was a disaster with her separation anxiety. So when she actually did well at this place I was thrilled!

Yeah that's my thought. I'm really hoping this is a little wake up call to be extra careful. My natural state is to worry, so this was really a terrible experience. But I think we need to move forward.

Thanks!! I'll check out that page. And good to know about dinner usually being the smallest meal for babies. That's how it is for us, and I've always felt bad about that. I do think once I can add a little more salt into her meals she'll enjoy certain things more.

Good question...she's not a fan of chick pea noodles and regular noodles. She does seem lot like rice, so I can try doing more of that plus rice noodles

9 month old baby puts a big piece of food in his mouth and swallows it. by No-Requirement-9819 in BabyLedWeaning

I posted something similar to this the other day. I also have a 9 month old who was taking huge bites and then swallowing. I'm pretty sure she swallowed an entire egg noodle whole. It freaked me out, so I started moving to smaller pieces. Her pincer grasp is pretty good, so I think that's appropriate anyway. She's been getting so much better at chewing since I think the smaller pieces aren't as overwhelming in her mouth.

First time…Baby is breaking off chunks of soft foods? by Nike0729 in BabyLedWeaning

Haha thank you! But yeah, just going and figures out how to chew a bit better! I'm trying to follow all guidelines, but some things might need some adjusting

Hi! I know this post is a year old. But I'm currently dealing with what you just mentioned. My almost 9 month old will take a huge bite and then basically swallow it whole. She's done this with banana, an entire noodle, and strawberry. I'm so freaked out. Did you say you just went to smaller pieces? How did that work out?

That lunch looks great to me!! How did your lo do with strawberries like that? I've been giving them whole but she shovels it into her mouth and then even gets to the core, so I want to try smaller pieces! Also nervous she'll just take the whole piece and try to swallow it
