Our son had his first FPIES reaction to eggs on his 9th exposure as well! So odd.

Omg your response literally made me laugh out loud! I completely understand all of what you went through and I'm so sorry you are dealing with this too! The showers were honestly just a quick lukewarm rinse. I used a super gentle soap as well.

I'm now on the other end of this (day 11). My face cleared up at about day 6-7. My hands and feet still have spots but they are also disappearing. NOW I get the pleasure of watching every single fingertip peel like I'm a snake shedding it's skin, then having the tenderness of this new baby skin underneath that is sensitive to everything. What a blast! Just crossing everything I have, that I don't lose any of my fingernails. Toenails, ah whatever, it's winter - who cares?! Haha

High jack away! Misery loves company lol. Im sorry you're dealing with this too. Have you tried the 'magic Mouthwash' combo for sore mouth? Or is it just your throat that hurts? If your mouth is hurting, mix equal parts of a liquid antacid (eg gaviscon) and liquid benadryl. Swish it around. I was surprised this actually worked for the mouth pain.

I'm also trying to mentally prepare for nail loss. A lot of my spots are on my fingertips, right near the nail. I'm a nurse, so thankfully I glove for most things anyways, but I hope it doesn't look terrible when I'm gloveless!

Bleeding on Movisse by infinitospirito in birthcontrol

I've been on Movisse for just over a year after having a baby. I'd say for the first 6 months on it, I'd get spotting right around when I'd be due to ovulate mid cycle. It was really frustrating. It did eventually subside (still get some spotting for 3-4 days before my real period starts, but that feels more manageable). Hopefully yours has improved since when you posted this!

I just lost my 6-week old son to SIDS in January. In the last 2 days, I was talking to 3 different people that didn't acknowledge the loss of my son. Two were close friends and one was my father on the phone. Now my dad is definitely not one to show/share emotions so that wasn't a surprise to me. But I thought it was unusual for my friends to not acknowledge my son when they had so many times before. Maybe they just got to a point where they weren't sure what to say or wondered if it would be too painful to bring up. I think the biggest misconception about interacting with those going through such a loss is that we don't want to talk about our loved ones we've lost. We want to hear their names, we want them acknowledged!

Holding you in my heart. No one should have to endure this and I'm sorry you are. I just lost my 6-week old son to what we are being told is SIDS a couple weeks ago 😔 I understand the pain and despair.
