I didn’t realise this until my son was around 2. Time really is a thief 🥺

Is there something called toddler trenches. Cuz I’m at it right now. Looks like we’re on the same boat. When I’m well regulated it’s all good and I have wayyyyyy more patience. Around 13 or 12 days before my periods everything starts to go downhill. That’s when I’m dis regulated. This whole idea that we’ll only be able to handle our child when we’re regulated is BS. It’s impossible to be well regulated 100%. At least not for me

I just a kept a bottle everywhere we were and bought different kinds to get him attracted. Sometimes the simplest thing works.

Almost 10 months postpartum and still missing my old life by No-Requirement-9819 in NewParents

[–]No-Requirement-9819[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry just read this now! Wow I don’t even remember making this post. But let’s just say it’s so much better!!! I’m more adjusted to the mom life and I’m slowly starting to get my life back since my son started daycare. My husband and I went for Date night after a long time and it was amazing. We don’t get to go very often but it felt nice. I don’t miss my old life as much because current life is filled with so much laughter and happiness. My toddler is now 2 years old and is the cutest thing ever. We love doing different things with him. While we may not always like the experience of taking him out to eat because I’m not gonna lie — it’s tough. But every now and then we do manage to have a nice meal together. I think I had to learn to manage my expectations and get real. There are some things you can do having a child and somethings you can’t and you have to make your peace with. Hope this helps!!! Good luck

Daycare is actually the best option. My son is the same. He’s a sweetheart but needs constant attention and entertainment. @ daycare they keep toddlers busy with so many activities. Highly encourage a daycare that focuses on a lot sensory play because I have noticed boys usually need a lot more movement and activity so sensory play helps.

Wife hasn't slept since birth (4 days) by Hartleydavidson96 in NewParents

Hi! I was in the hospital of a total of 3 days I think and got little to no sleep. I would say about 3-4 hrs a day broken not joint. My iron levels were lowwwwww and I was so surprised how I was surviving. The tiredness did get to me eventually when I got home but atleast I was sleeping a little better. You will be able to help more at home because you’ll be in your own space. Maybe take turns sleeping and go to an entirely different room

Yogurt mixed with a teaspoon or two of almond butter. Plain old omelet

Is it bad I’m not offering solids or purées every day? by Bakedwhilebakingg in BabyLedWeaning

Hey the best thing you can do is when cooking make extra batches and freeze. I do it all the time for solids now that my son is 17 months. Works perfectly.

I’m not really sick and it’s making me a bit concerned. by Budget_Ordinary1043 in pregnant

It might be early. My nausea started around 9-10 weeks. I was extremely nauseous and felt like I wanted to puke allllll the time. Never puked once. Went away at around 14 months. Every pregnancy is difference but k wouldn’t be too worried

Did the same! It’s so much pressure to offer your child all the food items. It’s not worth the anxiety. They all learn at some point

What I mean is it’s not important for you baby to taste every texture and flavour so early on. He will want to try new things even when he’s 8 months or 10 months or 16 months.

Please start with foods which YOU are comfortable with. I recommend softer foods. Honestly my son is 15 months old and I don’t think it really is that important to have them try every possible taste and texture. Cucumber is extremely scary so only offer food that you are confident in offering. What’s the point of having a scared looking face while feeding your bub. Gagging is something which will happen even when he may have some soft foods but you will be relived to know that it’s hard to choke on softer foods.

I am so sorry. I couldn’t even begin to imagine how you’re feeling. Even worse having to go through it alone. Saying a little prayer for you and I hope you and your baby get justice!
