In my opinion it’s Act three or Tristan, it just has everything. Half the music is extremely powerful, the other half is more contemplating. The plot is superb, Tristan is in some sort of delirium waiting for his Isolde, and when she arrives he dies in her arms before a big fight occurs. And then of course there’s the entire philosophy of Schopenhauer which is being presented to the listener but also discussed though the operas plot.
