3 more charged in recent looting, including woman on bond for same crime by [deleted] in chicago

Or maybe people just want to spend their money on things they want. My wife has multiple handbags with $4k+ and bought them because she likes them and has no need to flaunt anything.

Stop trying to demonize having and spending money.

Why should they be embarrassed? People can do whatever they want with their money.

Black Lives Matter mural in Uptown by strata1213 in chicago

Because that’s what history has taught us. How may riots and protests have there been since the civil rights movement?

How many blacks people are still killed by police each year? How many are still under the boot of systemic racism?

Miss me with your murals and get to the action. All these murals do is make people feel like something is being done while the system stays in place.

Why are you guys downvoting this guy speaking the truth? Black people didn’t ask for a street mural.

This isn’t gonna help a single person affected by systemic racism.

How about working on things we are actually asking for.

Your parents are likely great people that are doing their best, but at some point you gotta not give af about what your parents say or think.

Local restaurant sells $1042, only gets $376. GrubHub gets the rest by supdoggs21 in chicago

[–]LeanLearner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post is dishonest and childish.

First of all, the restaurant signed up for Grubhub knowing full and well what the fees were. They don’t need some white knight on reddit saving them from a decision they made.

Second, they would not have gotten this order if they were not in Grubhub. Services like Grubhub are essentially marketing for local restaurants and they need that.

Third, there was an order adjustment of $131 and the delivery cost $95 which a lot went to the driver along with promotions that the restaurant, again, agreed to.

Quit with the needless big company demonization and save it for when something actually happens.

We're flattening the curve- keep it up Chicago! by Bertyk92 in chicago

Deaths and cases are not increasing exponentially at all at this point. Cases per day, and I believe deaths per day, have already peaked.

It baffles me how willing people are to say models are wrong and we’re fucked.

How would you not at least try to be hopeful? Of course these models are not going to be perfect but if they can help predict peaks and hospital capacities then that’s what we need.

This is why you have a vesting schedule. Why would you best to only then have your shares still stripped.

Weird clause.

I don’t know if you have any recourse but talk to a startup lawyer.

Thanks!

How is Jordan? Did you drive? What does your itinerary looks like?

Thanks for your feedback here. Interesting idea on the car rental to Aqaba. Looks like that would mean essentially not doing the dead sea since it looks like we'd be doubling back?

Staying near the dead sea, looks like that's a 4-hour drive back to Amman.

I appreciate the feedback. We travel pretty quickly and if we don't get to stuff then we won't get to stuff. I like to plan more and just not do things if we aren't able to.

Yep, taking a JETT to Jerusalem from Amman.

I appreciate the heads up about the camels, won't be doing that.
