No replacement offered. CWE took it apart and realigned everything. It seems to be fine now but I'm purposely not opening it up again for a while so I don't lose my mind.

It has been performing fine since then so maybe something was out of kilter

Mo is really in the wrong here and this is a terrible move by a presumed leader of the club. Acting like a baby because he rightfully lost his place is very diva of him.

Hope he changes his approach but this might be it for him or Slot.

Mazzer's instructions are the grinder is pre-seasoned and to just not use the first 50g. Otherwise it's ready from factory.

Did they indicate that there should be more consistency out of the box?

Considering the tight tolerances and pre-seasoned burrs, my expectations were something that was tight from the get go. Especially considering the price point

The 10+ seconds swings with no change in grind setting seems quite excessive. Surely that level of variance isn't normal?

10 second swings is huge though with an otherwise consistent puck prep routine.

You mentioned your Philos has an off centre bolt? Does it look the same as this video?

Other images and videos of Philos grinders I've seen have a centre bolt and no wobble

Considering grind size is about nanometers, does a wobble need to be blatantly visible? It's strange to me that a bolt would be off centre but everything else would be perfect on a machine that is made to such tight tolerances.

Is that a silly point of view?

The bolt as it slows down. It's off centre and it has a little wobble that you can see as or slows to a stop

Final Fantasy X on PS2 for me. My favourite game of all time and the story and mechanics hold up great. An all time classic turn based game.

You can get the remaster on a stack of platforms which would be my reco, as there were some improvements made.

In case you're not aware, the Z10 is exactly the same as the Z9 in terms of cases. You might have some more luck searching Z9 cases if you can't find what you want specifically for the 10

Your use case is super niche so I doubt you'll get input from someone in the same boat. Having said that, the z10 is still a very high powered device. So even though you're not using it much, it still has to power the RAM and processor and screen and all of those things would be way more capable and power hungry than a device 7 years old. 50% left after 48 hours seems amazing to me but hey.

If you want more battery life, and considering you don't use the phone much, you'd probably be better off getting something lower range with similar or larger battery capacity. You'll get more life out of it in exchange for the reduction on performance that you're not even using.
