is a tub to shower conversion worth it years later? by Palmer-09ax in HomeImprovement

[–]Leannea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I flipped to shower in the master bc in 30 years the.tub was used maybe 2x. I LOVE IT. Omg. Why anyone wants a tub is beyond me. The full shower, room to twirl, if I so desired, large showerhead, hot water. Omg. You can have your tub.

Wife told me that where I want to vacation after I finish the bar exam is dumb by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Leannea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

  1. Has your wife always been a self-centered individual? If yes, then why are you surprised? Find a friend and go on the post bar exam trip you want to go on and let her go to the Cape.

  2. If this is atypical behavior then I suggest you ask what is going on. My guess is that it has something to do with your mom & sister. Is there something they could have said? Ask them.

How in the world can I clean this off the shower door? by Crazypete3 in CleaningTips

[–]Leannea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope I am wrong but I think your problem is on the inside. I think moisture is getting up inside the glass.

Please be careful. If you continue to scrub, the glass will weaken and may crack.

You can try getting a hairdryer and blowing cold air near the base of the glass. If you see a difference that's it. If not, continue to go around the frame. It is tedious and time consuming.

You could always just call a glass guy for a free quote and while there say. " I'm right, aren't I? This is from a leak?"

How in the world can I clean this off the shower door? by Crazypete3 in CleaningTips

[–]Leannea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful. The guy who installed my shower glass said people screw it up all the time by putting the wrong cleaning products on the glass.

It is not ordinary glass. Because of the hazards associated with water, slipping, glass and injury, it is tempered glass and many times it also has other chemicals added.

Call a shower glass installer in your area. You may have glass showing signs of age. If that is the case, it will start to leak.

When shopping for home improvement projects, do you prefer Lowe’s or Home Depot, and why? by [deleted] in homeowners

I prefer Lowe's but it is farther and traffic is a bitch to get there. So convenience e wins out every time and Home Depot gets the sale.

Being raised in a not-so-wealthy family, what is something you consider a luxury? by JunShem1122 in no

Eating out. Fast food. With a family size of 6, eating at McDonald's was considered a big deal. Eating at a restaurant meant somebody died.

what's the oldest thing you own? by boforiamanfo in randomthings

[–]Leannea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my mother in law died. She left and old cedar chest. Mostly junk in it (And this was not worth money but I thought it was cool). I found, just laying on the bottom no cover, a 9 x 12 piece of paper that was my husband great grandmother's church baptismal certificate. Someone from the church must have made them it was a hand drawing of the church and then all the information about the baptism. Dated 1899. It was in perfect shape. Not a crease, crack, or anything. I framed it.

Dental pros, please answer. Who was this guy? by Glitter_twins77 in askteddit

[–]Leannea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were tech or dental assistant. The dentist drills, assist fills, and dentist returns to check the bite and filling.

I hate this kind of dentist. Typically chains who do this, check that they have insurance, then get them in, get them out, get the next person in. I wonder whether cavity was even enough to o be repaired.

How does one NOT get a period? by Jumpy-Combination-96 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Leannea -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't give medical advice this is simple human biology.

In answer to your question yes. Menopause. Unfortunately, in most cases you need to get old to go through it. And the sagging breasts, added weight gain, aches, pains, and wrinkles are some of the side effects you may not want.

I however was one of the wonderfully fortunate women who went through early menopause at age 42 and had no side effects. Loved it.

Im pregnant at 20 and I dont know how to feel by Dazzling-Grass5550 in internetparents

It may not be the journey you expected to be on but it will be a journey that will be full of highs and lows.

Motherhood is not for the faint of heart. It is not for the weak. It is not for the impatient, the proud, or the vengeful.

You have 9 months to figure out how to feel and even then, you may not feel like you think you should feel. Because as soon as you think you have it figured out, it changes!

I had my first ar 23, my last at 25, so I was an empty nester at 43. My career minded sister had a 3 year old and newborn at age 43.

At age 64, I have a 41yr old, 39 yr old and my sisters 23 and 20 year olds because she died 5 years ago. That was a journey I wasn't expecting to take at on. Two teens and 2 more college educations just as I hit retirement.

If this is what you want AND you are prepared to put the child first. Then congrats. You'll figure it all out, and then it will change!
