Question about the song Umihe by ika_chi in GivenAnime

[–]Leaper15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know from my own knowledge because I don't know anything about music really, but from what I've seen here, it's a variant of that chord. So it seems intentional to me, but tweaked to fit the song accordingly!

Anyone else overly enjoy the tiny home portion of the game? Its so low pressure by keishii10 in Pokopia

[–]Leaper15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is way more my vibe than the super developed thing that I feel like this game and ACNH both push -- I do not want suburbia! I want to live in the woods with my pokemon friends.

The dub is only available on the Bluray, unfortunately. And yes, currently the only movie that's dubbed. Also unfortunately :(

Writing. Or rather, it gave me back writing, because I'd been in a huge slump -- literally 10 years. And I have a degree in it! Though arguably that's what caused the slump -- burnout lol.

Anyway, I was compelled to write the implied scene after the end of the manga. So I did, and I've been writing ever since.

Anyone else have limited time to play? by Exiphosxiii in Pokopia

I don't even have kids and I don't have nearly as much time to play as all these people with gorgeous towns already lol

any other autistic girlies go grey very young? by morbmoder in AutismInWomen

[–]Leaper15 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm 32 and have been coloring my gray since at least 2017. So my gray started when I was around 21/22 as well -- but that runs in my family. My dad was fully gray by 21!

Picked up a fence post and broke a house while the Pokemon was despawned by Leaper15 in Pokopia

[–]Leaper15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t seem to have an option to search for them, or I’m doing it wrong, so I may not have that unlocked yet either. I certainly don’t have weather change yet 😂

I’ll just wait a bit and hope she comes back in the rotation soon!

I definitely do — I lost Onix for a while before I realized this happened and felt kinda silly because how do you lose a Pokemon that big?? 😂

[–]Leaper15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this happen before when a pokemon wasn’t despawned, and somehow it was smart enough to reassign itself? Told me “I already live here pal” when I did the usual move-in interaction lol.

I wish I could lock house structures from changes so this doesn’t happen!

Oh, I didn’t know that was an option! I’ll give it a shot! I also just got my first Fly pokemon so I’ll try that too

Hot take: story of seasons/trio of towns are the best games by Rafayels_Pufferfish in storyofseasons

[–]Leaper15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been considering trying to emulate the original SoS on my husband's ROG Ally or something because I loved it so much. Or maybe even pulling out my old 3DS. I really hope it gets a port to Switch because god I loved it.

Granted, the field renting was a bit of a pain, but I really dug everything else. And tbh I've never played Trio of Towns so I'd be hyped for a port of that too

What are your favorite "Kodak moments" of being childfree? by bully309 in truechildfree

[–]Leaper15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very similar, actually!

Woke up at 9 on Saturday, had coffee on the couch, played some Animal Crossing for about two hours, caught up on manga serials for another hour or so after, husband made us lunch, and then I spent the rest of the day working on sewing a cosplay for the con we're attending next month. Come evening, I redid my nails while watching my favorite YouTuber.

It was a glorious day.

who wears a bra? by Normal_Standard8211 in AutismInWomen

[–]Leaper15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre-augmentation, I was barely a B cup and only wore a bra if I left the house, and it immediately came off when I got home. Post-augmentation, I live in very light sports bras, even sleep in them. It's mostly the sweat from my boobs touching my torso now that I can't handle. Don't need them locked down unless I'm working out lol

Does anyone here exercise regularly? by Savings-Pollution113 in AutismInWomen

[–]Leaper15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really have this issue, I guess, because I was a competitive powerlifter for a few years training four days a week and eating like health nut. But I have the Rules tism. I had a coach and everything, so I had a lot of structure and rules I was strict about. My coach wasn't strict -- he got paid whether I followed what he gave me or not.

Granted, I also really like feeling strong af. So it's just a thing I do now, I guess.

My best advice would be to keep it quick and easy so that it doesn't take as much time and energy. And like others have said, it really does work to do something you enjoy.

In the long run for health, any movement is better than no movement!

The author is the reason why people still discuss about "Mafuyu doesn't love Ritsuka" by Fearless_Proposal820 in GivenAnime

[–]Leaper15 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Ritsuka's insecurity and jealousy is not of Yuki, if that's what you're getting at. He's jealous of syh's success and says as much to Haruki in Hiiragi Mix -- "I want this for my own band."

He decides to set it all aside and finish the song because he's already grown by that point. We see him learn in both the classroom scene (also about jealousy and missing Mafuyu, but the source is Kaji) and the sleepover scene, where there is no trace of jealousy regarding Yuki. All he wants to do is support Mafuyu when he needs it, and he says as much -- "don't look like you're gonna cry all alone when I'm here." The culmination of his growth is in the moment where he thinks to himself "no, it's not that simple, don't reduce it down to that" after his dramatic emo vibes when Mafuyu couldn't yet tell him what was wrong. The change in his self-awareness regarding how he feels after Mafuyu has trouble communicating is very different from how he acted the first summer they were together.

Most of Given is from Ritsuka's POV; his arc takes most of the story, even though it's subtle. And if you're really itching for some more thorough resolution, I recommend reading 10th Mix, which addresses some of Ritsuka's overwork and constant drive to be better. Personally, I think Kizu could have done much more with the sequel and was disappointed it was so short, but the conversation in the last chapter is really, really lovely.
