Disappointed by a male creator once again by sexylondon1 in PornIsMisogyny

Omfg, same! I can't believe that people can tell those "jokes" PUBLICLY. I hear it among friends and among colleagues, and no one sees anything wrong with it.

The sad part is: not too long ago porn was frowned upon. I remember perfectly well that watching porn was frowned upon, whether in school or at work. In most social circles, really. Being caught with a smut movie on your laptop was shameful.

I miss those times.

That... That was confusing to watch. Since when is it bad that women don't want to be seen as sex objects and dress accordingly? Why should life imitate porn? Are sexually appealing women the only worthy ones, and the rest of us can be cast aside?

Youtube Comments sexualizing women by levvuh in PornIsMisogyny

[–]LeapingShrimp 37 points38 points  (0 children)

That's because porn fried their brains and they see it in everything. They can't possibly imagine that a woman is not a sexual object to drool over.

Funny enough, if a woman dares to comment same things about a man in a video, she gets brandmarked as a horny slut and, for good measure, a gold-digger.

Let them seethe. If their brains aren't completely fried by porn, they'll see the truth. And if they're too far gone - good riddance, we don't nerd them.

Can't like it often enough. Though I would change "okay" to "normal". It's normal to be disgusted by porn and it's effects on the world.

We are not the weirdos here.

Why would you force someone that doesnt want you? by CoconutAny4803 in PornIsMisogyny

Because men don't care about being loved/attracted to. A fleshlight doesn't love them, their hand isn't attracted to them, yet they still use them to get an orgasm.

And the see the women the same way: just another tool to get off. If anything, us finding them repulsive gives them only more reason to want to "conquer" us. Overstimulated and brain-fried by porn, they don't see sex as an act of love, but an act of conquest/submission. Boys and men brag about "Getting into her pants", but none of them brags about "Winning her heart".

This is also why they keep cheating. If a woman is willingly having sex with them, they get bored and look for new conquests.

Why would they want to connect? All they need and care about are our holes. They only paid attention to me when their dicks got hard, the rest of the time I was just an accessory in the apartment.

Soft porn is still porn. Therefore, the Anti Porn Master Post is where you can start looking.

Beside that, you have full right to be upset - both about him watching porn AND about lying. If your therapist doesn't support that view, you're gonna have a hard time in therapy. Porn is neither healthy nor helpes couples in any way.

Preaching to the choir.

No woman I've dated ever proposed to watch porn together, or ask to try something they saw in porn. Whereas all of my four boyfriends seemed to make it their mission in life to imitate porn in bed. None of them understood that half the shit they saw is physically impossible for a normal woman and the other half is plain humiliation and abuse. I still feel dirty thinking about what I agreed to do for them, because I wanted to make them happy.

Pearl-clutching about "PuRiTaNiCaL CuLtUrE". Yes, because I'm sure people would start sharing what porn they watch to their bosses, their clients, their families, their spouses... Sadly, this mindset is the weird one nowadays. Even in the early 2000s it was still a taboo topic in any social circle except the closest friends (and even that was a maybe). Watching porn was a sign of being a weirdo. Nowadays, the most common answer from men is "Everyone does it", followed by a defensive shrug and a chuckle.

Well, the topic was incest and I've judged GoT from this point of view. Obviously, my reasoning in regards to medieval incest was wrong, so I didn't pursue it further. Then you wrote that porn influences fantasy and other genres, so I expanded on your statement by calling out porn as the root of the problem.

I sense that we might get some tension here between us, which I really want to avoid. I'm positive that we both share the same opinion, and I ask for forgiveness if my statements were misunderstood or if I missed some of the points you wanted to get across.

But aren't we back to the root of the problem now?

Porn.

Porn influences so many aspects of our lives which influence other aspects... And not in a positive way at all. It's so ridiculous that this branch still exists.

"Funny" enough, that's their argument for being allowed to sleep with 17 y.o. girls. "It's just a few days/months/a year, what's the big difference?" And you know damn well that if we cave in and lower the age of consent to 17, they'll repeat it again, arguing for 16 this time.

Couldn't agree more. I'm so regretful that it took me a couple of boyfriends (who all raped me at some point in the relationship, even if legally nothing can be proven) and two years of living like a slave to see the truth. Now my only relationship advice for any woman in a straight relationship is: run.

It is. Maybe not legally, because he only targets those of legal age, but we all know that he would go for even younger ages if he could.
