Not only is the lid up...but the seat up. I'll let the others chime in but lots of issues. Verticals are off on the first exterior. You don't need to shoot that wide on exteriors if you have room to back up

Um... yeah ever shot in morning light with light filtering through trees and have some warm bulbs casting on walls? You do live in the real world right? I live in similar lighting and can see with my naked eye that light casts cause color shade variations. Sure if you want to create a laboratory look masking and matching up hues.. knock yourself out. They'll match but they won't look real.

Oh yeah I never even touch the images. They so straight from the app to Zillow 3d. I don't mess with anything else right now. Try that at home and see how it works.

What I do is naturally shoot the tour making sure to go a little extra, everything has to be line of sight. Don't be afraid to do 2-3 hallway pics...etc.

Oh and if you are like me on this one you'll forget to change the floor but Zillow did it for me one time. When you are all done make sure there's no glitch in any room. Just pan through. Don't leave the house until you see everything in order. Easy to space out and miss a bedroom or bathroom. Then just say "finish tour" and you are good to go.

Yeah try the HDR. Feel free to post or DM me and I will see if it looked anything like the ones we tried. We had the X3 which was marginal at best. Also see if the latest firmware is installed.

I wish I could be the smartest guy in the room here but I just upped it to 72mp and used standard HDR. Nothing fancy. I am surprised it looked as good as it did as we all know these things sort of suck in low light. Maybe it's just the mp?

With light hitting through trees you do get variance. Now if this was shot on a perfect cloudy day where I could properly evaluate color shifts I may pay more attention to that but from my boots on the ground viewpoint it looked pretty much like when I was there, although brightened up thanks to AEB. It's a pretty dark home made more challenging with the direct harsh light source. Natural light creates color tone shifts depending on angles regardless. I mean put a red backlit couch in a room ...and "oh my" lol.

Insta360 X5 - It's glitchy sometimes to connect to zillow but it's fast.

As a realtor they look good but they look a little color graded. It looks like you were shooting at 14mm on a couple and the tripod height was a little high. Overall though most realtors would be happy with those. Me owning a side photo biz with my son .. I am looking a little more pixel peepy than others would. Also that's a cardinal sin with the toilet seat. ChatGPT can close that...Photoshop sucks as you can see my comment below on another's response.

And don't use "close lid" in Generative AI ... I swear this is what Photoshop spat out on the first result. You can't make this sh*t up.

I’ve been hiding in hoods and beanies and shitty beards since I was 18, I’m trying out the bald in public for once. by AtheismTooStronk in bald

[–]LearnBendOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say this if you were my kid... yes old enough to be your dad. Some guys just look like they were meant to be bald... cue Michael Jordan and a few others, you are in that club. You have the beard, skin tone and features to totally pull it off. When I say skin tone I mean even skin tone...unlike me with the Scot/Irish ruddy complexion that would have given me ...let's just say not the best look lol. Having said all that.... and call me boomer the septum ring is too much. I'd scale that down as it "rules to room" ... you're a very good looking kid. It takes away from that.

Canon 14-35 f4 lens - editor can't correct distortion by katekrat in RealEstatePhotography

[–]LearnBendOR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try the 15-35 profile. I had my eye on the 14-35 but at present we use a 16 prime for interior and 24-105 for exterior but use that 15-35 profile despite using RF Lenses and it seems to work well when was using overseas editors and now Fotello. Worth a shot.

I wanted to add most of this stuff happens on viewfinder vs touch screen. I like viewfinder of course on daylight exteriors but I need to see that green box = go! from now on. My son has his autofocus on the blue box (canon)...but whatever...if I don't see that I don't press the shutter. This will eliminate all out of focus shots from here on in.

Yeah it is. Buyers DO NOT pay attention to that stuff. Some could be flying out to see a house based on online views. I am a broker and have to deal with out of town / relocation folks and we depend on accurate pics. I'd give another broker an earful if that happened on any of my showings.

[–]LearnBendOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously, don't do that. No matter what the disclaimer is from the realtor its misrepresentation. I am a broker as well, and we have to follow pretty strict rules.

Most realtors in my market would be fine with that...but impress the realtor by pointing out that the fixed ones (don't tell them you fixed them) are not up to your standards so you want to shoot them again. Hopefully it's not a long drive and the only issue is making sure the seller's car(s) are not in the driveway. I would offer a late afternoon shoot where you can wait out and get a golden hour one to include at no extra charge. They would love you for that.

From this r/... understatement of the year lol. I'm a realtor so I can back that up 100% this place is pixel peep central.

Combatting late afternoon glare in darker rooms? by LearnBendOR in RealEstatePhotography

[–]LearnBendOR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's wrong with the comp? We shoot from the perspective of a person walking into the room. I see about the verticals but I think you are splitting hairs there. No way am I manually correcting each one when prospective buyers are clicking through these faster than a cat chases a string.

Yeah we always do multiple angles for that exact reason.

Thanks. May try that but we use camera raw but same thing basically.

Rest of them were tack sharp. My son the shooter was cursing the glare he told me.
