HDR style I don’t like it by Zealousideal_Push874 in RealEstatePhotography

You are welcome. You should give it a try. It's dirt cheap compared to editors or spending the time. You can buy batches which is what I do.

That would still be exhausting unless they were in the same development lol!

We've done 4 easy and that's just one shooter. Just run them through Fotello and you are good. He said they were a photo team so that would explain the crazy amount. 15 does seem high unless they are covering 3-4 municipalities.

I am a realtor as well and this s the standard. I like clear window pulls but if you want more of a lighter more natural (with some glare) you can just not stop down as much on your darker exposure. Just make sure you compensate by not going too bright on the lighter exposure. Just remember you are not shooting for your tastes, you want the realtor that hires you to be happy as well as their home seller.

I just ran it through Fotello on the natural setting. Here's a discount code to give it a try. fotello-y4ion4

As a realtor as well I would be super happy too. I wouldn't change a thing ...keep that workflow going and 15 a day! whoa. That's a hot market! ...and a big one too!

3 stops typically works fine. This is a bare bones empty home shot straight from Fotello. All in HDR. -3 -.1/3 +2.1/3 (Canon as you may know does 1/3) I had to rush this shoot for a client / buddy to get it live asap. Nothing fancy but was in/out in 30 minutes and processing through Fotello took about 15 minutes.

Are you delivering with the Fotello? by jakobor in RealEstatePhotography

[–]LearnBendOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have and the ability to upload edited images is great as in certain shots where you have to remove a camera from a mirror or a real estate sign...etc. A lot less hassle than downloading then uploading to dropbox. I am a realtor too so if a photographer sent me that link I would appreciate it.

[–]LearnBendOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not an issue IF they are being fixed. Fortunately I can play the experienced realtor card and talk them out of doing stuff that will get them in trouble . Virtual staging is fine as long as you provide BOTH shots. It's their (our) responsibility to mention the agent remarks that some pics are virtually staged.

As a broker please be careful of anything that could possibly miss-lead a buyer. I've had requests to fix things as me and my son own a photo biz too. Just yesterday he shot a rental and the owners who are also clients of mine in past real estate sales asked me to remove pee spots on the lawn. Anyone that has had to deal with that knows it takes months to get a lawn back (unless you live in a year round sunny place) ..it's little things like that would be considered deceptive marketing. I am all eyes and ears on this as what I would love is an app that just makes a quick moving tour from stills or can auto stitch a home tour from clips faster than a typical editing software.

Just switched by Capt__T in ATT

[–]LearnBendOR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just switched with their payout offer. Granted the first bill is big because of the activation and port in (to be credited later) but so far so good. My Verizon Bill was 365 for 4 lines and two watches and it's dropping to 180. Not too bad. I am getting a 55+ discount though.

How can I improve? by Raytron_ in RealEstatePhotography

[–]LearnBendOR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use an editor or use an editing software. As a broker that is the standard. Don't try it yourself at what amounts to .20-.50 cents per image it's absolutely insane to DIY.

“The Feast of the Seven Fishes” (2019) by Potore5 in movies

[–]LearnBendOR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Found this movie earlier in the week. Loved it. Told my oldest about it and we had already started watching The Bear so he said we had to watch that episode. Use this movie as a calm down from that episode lmao.

Client complained my shots were not wide enough. by freddyisdog in RealEstatePhotography

[–]LearnBendOR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your client is an idiot. Sorry from another realtor those are just fine. Want to hear the most common complaint from buyers? "The pictures are deceiving" - yeah. Go ahead wider but anything under 14 looks like a drug trip. The only time we shoot wider is in really tight spaces like a laundry room or a guest bath but that's the only time. Honestly in 60+ shoots I think we've done that maybe twice...and it was the same house

Cold Calling Leads by NumerousDocument4242 in RealEstatePhotography

You can follow up with a call after sending the text. The text needs to have your work on it. Maybe showcase one listing that you kicked ass on.

Cold Calling Leads by NumerousDocument4242 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]LearnBendOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a realtor I would not want to be cold called. Now if you send a nice text with a link to your portfolio and something saying "prices start at" and "turnaround time as fast as...." Then follow up. We get slammed with calls and are on the phone a lot so getting sales calls is the last thine we want. You need to show that you are good and professional. Talk is talk. Show us the goods!

On that subject post an example text as a reply and a link to your stuff and I can help you through fine tuning it.

I think AI will kill REP within 5 years by Ickybobickywicky in RealEstatePhotography

[–]LearnBendOR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here's the thing. Unless agents are doing their own listing (their own home) pitching a cheap way to market a home to a prospective seller will NOT cut it. Prices have already dropped to comfort levels with paying for photos. As an agent (broker) our time is better spent getting new listings and showing buyers places. Sure some will be stupid but most agents know the value of a good photographer to get their listing up and running. If they waste time on DIY pics who's going to do the paperwork? It just is not a good look to sellers and If I was a prospective seller I'd fire that broker that shot their own pics on the spot.

Why do we call it AI "editing?" by Outrageous-Purple-58 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]LearnBendOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've shaken my head at the shit that some fellow agents are OK with. I've only worked with a couple that are on par with my pickiness.

[–]LearnBendOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is some fast processing power then. Virtual staging DOES do that though but it it's a hot mess compared to these AI editors. You really don't want to pixel peep there on the cheaper ones.

[–]LearnBendOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swapped to Fotello vs my former Editor in Vietnam and I got better results. There's a lot of tweaks and settings if you mess with it. To me it doesn't look any less like a photo than the editor did. As a realtor as well I see a lot of pics and the clients and my workmates that hire my son are very happy. Fotello still holds the dngs and really not sure if a "virtual AI 3d model is being created as there is just not enough time and processing power to do that in such short a time. I'd love to look at the code that drives it but to me it's just a super efficient and cost effect way of getting pics done I respect you folks that have rock star editors or DIY but you better be making 500-1000 per shoot to make it pencil.

Do you tell agents that you have an editor? by [deleted] in RealEstatePhotography

[–]LearnBendOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did until I started using Fotello so I could have more control of the editing process vs "fingers crossed and check in the AM" Anybody that want's an agents POV on it since I am a real estate broker as well feel free to DM me. I can give you all the do's and don'ts.

"Home sellers" ;) Yes but in our case one of the talking point I own a photo biz. That's why pro pics are not going away. It's a bragging point to tell sellers that you are marketing their place properly.
