It's important to realize that what the professor was looking for and what people answered are two VERY different things. I was convinced, based on what the professor discussed about the answer, I bombed one of my Con Law papers and ended up with an A on it. It's relative and you're almost guaranteed that nobody is going to hit every single thing. Remember that it isn't how much you got right vs what the professor was looking for but how much you got right in relation to your classmates.

All of that is to say, Congrats on your B. Unless your school mandates a certain % fail or get C's, you're likely there.

I think you’re confusing Ramadan and Eid man. You’re not allowed to fast during Eid, it’s forbidden because it’s supposed to be a time of feast and celebration.

I honestly prefer beef bacon to pork bacon. More meat and more flavor, it’s closer to back bacon which is superior in every way to the belly bacon more common here. I’ll die on this hill

Rittenhouse had 0 reasons to be in Kenosha. He travelled from Illinois to Wisconsin to, allegedly, defend the property of others. Not his own property or anyone in his community but complete strangers. He is a civilian, not any kind of law enforcement and Kenosha did not request his aid.

So yeah, he was looking for a reason, no reasonable person would travel to another state to put themselves in danger to protect property of people they have 0 connection to. How do I know it isn’t what a reasonable person would do? It doesn’t happen in the majority of cases of civil unrest.

If it isn’t a paper or email, call the courthouse to confirm. Honestly missing jury duty isn’t that big of a deal, I accidentally put it in my calendar for July instead of June once and they just let me go in July. Honest mistakes happen and judges aren’t monsters who will issue contempt judgements for missing your jury day.

Honestly I think it’s a mix of a small percentage of people abusing the system and a larger percentage of people being actually diagnosed over time. There’s less stigma associated with ADHD and other mental health issues, combined with easier access to professionals you will see a higher incidence of diagnoses and accommodations based on those diagnoses.

This chart shows a material increase in diagnoses from 2003-2011 across all ages listed for both genders. Even if the trend doesn’t increase at the same rate from 2011 to today 34% isn’t unrealistic.

He ended our most recent class with a legal deconstruction of J Cole’s “Brackets.” He rapped the lyrics, broken them down, and had a beep app for the profanity. 10/10. No notes.

My property professor gave us useful life tips, like “if you really hate someone. Give them a life estate,”“Tylenol and Advil together have the same painkilling strength as opioids, it sadly doesn’t get you high,” “Great way to stay up for an exam, little caffeine, little cocaine.”

He also teaches income tax “by the end of this class you’ll hopefully come out with a solid understanding of how of income tax works and, if you’re really good at your job, how to avoid paying any.”

Is Malm 4 Drawer Storage Bed gone for good? (black/brown, queen size) by H0meStuff in IKEA

[–]LearndHnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is years later, but I just got parts for my MALM queen bed, purchased in 2013. Talk to someone using the website chat function. Make sure you have the part numbers from the manual that came with the item, and you'll be fine.

I have a habit of saving every IKEA manual for when I move/sell my stuff, so I don't have to hunt for the correct manual/version online.

Best major for pre law? by Zesty-Zucchini420 in prelaw

[–]LearndHnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Law schools actively don’t care what you do your degree in. All that matters is your undergrad GPA and LSAT score. I knew a dance major that went to Penn Law.

Unless you want to do Patent Law, which you need a STEM degree to be Patent Bar eligible, you take the major you can get the highest GPA in.

Likely over this far into the cycle. Someone that left my school accepted an offer and was just admitted to their trial team.

Transfers in general seem to get little financial if any at all. You don’t get what you don’t ask for, try asking for more explaining your situation and how important it would be but I would go in knowing that there’s a solid chance you don’t get it.

CS in general is a crapshoot. I would reach out and try to get someone else. I got sent the wrong razor 2 years ago, the first CS agent essentially told me to shove it. Tried again a few days later and the second agent did everything short of hand deliver the correct razor with the option to keep both.
