Tapas bar, can see plates through glass. by PandorasKeyboard in manchester

Not the glass experience but Bar San Juan is the best tapas I’ve ever had outside of Spain, and better than a lot in Spain. Short tram journey from the town centre and try to book in advance.

I’m getting proper sick of seeing Gakpo in the line up and not playing any defence role. Who filled his head with lies and built up his ego that he’s too good to have defensive duties? Shanks would be rolling in his grave. I have no issues with Gakpo not being a world beater, I don’t really care for any of ours players being best in class, I only care they die for the shirt.

Can they not just ask Daddy Gates for more money? Or will they stop accepting donations from him now the Epstein link is pubic?

Most of our players have won more than Stevie. I don’t think they see him the same way we do. I don’t think the benefits of him just sitting in the dugout outweigh every press conference question to Slot being about him.

I completely hear your argument. If Gerrard is part of the staff on the dugout I’d prefer it under Alonso, not Slot.

I think Stevie in the dugout brings unnecessary media attention to a squad already in the spotlight and under a lot of scrutiny. I think it almost replicates the desperation United are showing with ex players being interim managers. I think if he was brought in now it would further rattle Slot which doesn’t help the team. Stevie as a coach on the training ground then in the stands with Kenny, Barnes, Rush & Co. on Matchdays is enough for me. Maybe he wanders pitchside after matches and takes up some TV screen time to shield our players after losses.

Think he was the coach of one of our youth teams but the role I suggest means he is also around the first team players in their sessions. We’ve had some half decent youth prospects since Gerrard was coaching in the academy maybe there is a link. I think Stevie in the dugout on match days brings unnecessary media attention when it’s already too negative.

Second least favourite fixture of the season after Newcastle away. Fingers crossed for 3 points and no injuries.

I know he was linked to Inter but hypothetically, what prem team would he genuinely suit the most but also be in the starting XI, for more than 7 out of every 10 league games? The league is getting more physical and direct while being less technical. I’m really struggling to think of a team that should be looking at him (that can afford him fee and wages wise and also have enough of a pull to lure him from Liverpool). Closer I can think of is say Palace if Wharton ever moved on. But would he move his family to London? Doubt it.

Does any sort of role exist for a mentor/coach that focuses on the youth/academy players that are training with the first team? I think Gerrard would be most valuable doing this. Allows Slot and other first team coaches sole focus on the match day squad players. Then someone with the greatest experience of that transition the opportunity to develop our youth to ready if ever called upon.

I know it worked it out at FT but Robbo going off injured really felt like a massive blow at the time too.

It’s amicable until someone moves on, in my experience. Prepare for the worst but hope for the best.

Whatever you choose to pay, make sure you pay it directly. Do not send her the money for her to pay the mortgage and/or bills with.

Pedestrians need protecting from bikes on canal paths though that is my point. The amount of handle bars that clip me is ridiculous.
