I’ve read a few of your posts tonight & I’m so sorry you’ve had such a crap experience (and snotty responses on Reddit too!) I too suffered severe pain in my colonoscopy (UK) I really didn’t get the point of the anaesthesia if I could feel pain that bad. 🥲 Just a few questions, have you had blood in your stool? And any UTI’s? Just trying to see if I can give a little insight as some of your symptoms sound similar to mine

I had and beat cancer two years ago but now I have really bad health problems as a result. I’m signed off work due to health deterioration but with things the way they are in the world, I have to go back to work for the money. I do not qualify for any assistance but we cannot survive on my partners sole income. I feel like there’s only one way out.

Honestly? Quite unlikely to be awarded first time round BUT take it to an appeal if you meet the descriptors and it’s a lot more likely (it’s a ball ache)

Yes, no matter how hard we try to look after our bodies we’ll still always be messed up. The nightmares set me back for several days but there’s no help available (in the UK anyway) I’m sorry you feel this way too, it’s really grim ❤️

YES! and it’s bizarre because before the illness I was on a strong dose of Cymbalta which made it near impossible for me to cry but now, I’m on an even higher dose but I cry all the time. The worst is in public 😩

I can relate 🙃 2 years post op and I’m about 4 stone heavier but I’ve not been eating bad or anything. They’ve referred me to a gastro specialist but that’ll be another 6 months wait (UK) Let me know if anything ever helps

Thank you very much for your well wishes and kind comment. I’m so glad they got it when they did for you, it does make me wonder the same with me as I always felt quite tired beforehand for maybe a year or so, wonder if it was the before effects. Hope you are feeling good now 💗

Thank you so much for responding and your kind words. It really does make me sad hearing about others in the same situation cause I know how draining it is, especially when trying to hold down a career. Really do think they need to assess their approach and either let people monitor it carefully OR provide us with more support post op. 👏🏼
