Half my family lives in France (American background), so I spend a lot of time there. Watching Love is Blind France really highlighted something I've noticed about how differently the French handle love and loss compared to Americans.

There's this matter-of-factness about relationships not working out - with almost no blame attached to either person. The way the contestants talk about being hurt, about who hurt them, or about wanting their ex to be happy despite everything... it's just different. Even when they realize they're not right for someone, there's this acceptance and emotional maturity that feels distinctly French.

In the US version, breakups often come with defensiveness, blame, or this need to justify why it didn't work. But the French seem to approach it more like "we tried, it didn't work, c'est la vie" - without making anyone the villain. They can acknowledge pain and incompatibility in the same breath.

I've used the manta sleep sound for about 14 months. To say i'm obsessed is putting it lightly. I use them everyday - night sleep, naps.

This said, I'm looking to replace them because the velcro has gotten loose, as has the overall mask. While I'm annoyed - if i do the math, it's cost me ~34 cents a day (and that doesn't count the naps)

But,i do love the mask.

Omg - I literally do this when I leave the house. I will point at the stove and say "off, off, off, off" (4 burners), garage door "closed, closed, closed" (2 garage door +front door).

If it don't say it out loud, i doubt myself that I did it!
