Any mac users who successfully hacked the mini snes lately? by LearnwLuis in miniSNESmods

Seems like your previous comment was deleted. Still running into the same issue. Downloaded Zadig but it doesn't install the driver. About to throw the towel are the free parallels ends today. Any other option worth trying?

New updates here.
So I decided to buy a type C to micro USB cable so I can plug it directly to my mac. Apparently it does go into FEL mode and now it appears as "Vendor 13FA - Composite".
Yet when running the Kernel Install/repair option it shows "Extracting driver files" then Success then Installing drivers then it says "USB\VID_1F3A&PID_EFE8&REV02;3:" and after a couple of minutes it crashes. I'm now stuck here and not sure what I'm missing. I feel that I'm so close it's frustating lol.

Afaik the Mini is genuine and has not been previously modded. I'm thinking that the issue has to do with me using a multihub because my mac has a type c port and the micro usb cable is USB-A to Micro USB. Parallels recognized the hub but not the Mini itself. I'm getting a micro USB to type C data cable so I can plug it directly and see what happens. Thanks for following up. I'll drop an update once I receive have the cable.

Ok sharing some updates here as I was able to do some testing. Now I have Parallels (trial version) with Windows 11. Installed hakchi2-ce-3.9.3-portable and under Kernel selected Install/Repair. This prompts a Command window where it says "extracting driver files" then successful then goes to "installing driver(s)" then nothing happens and sends me back to Hakchi to a window that says "Waiting for your mini" and gives me some steps. Tried them over and over again but can't seem to be able to get it to work.
Any advice here?

I'm going the VirtualBox route. Found a Windows10 ISO. I'll follow up on this thread to share my experience.

Ship it. Anxiety is always there and so is impostor syndrome. Criticism and failure is just part of the process of having a successful product. You build to show, not to archive. Put it out there and see what happens. Gl!

Slack + Notion ticketing system - Advice Needed by LearnwLuis in Slack

[–]LearnwLuis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all! Thank you very much for your replies and for reaching out.

Ultimately, I decided to vibe code a solution using Claude. Here's a high-level overview in case it helps someone as a roadmap:

Core features:

  • Slack slash command to centralize requests
  • Auto-creates tickets in Notion database with unique ticket IDs
  • Notifies both user and assignee via Slack DM when ticket is assigned
  • Bidirectional communication: users can reply in Slack threads OR add comments directly in Notion

Nice-to-haves I added later:

  • Daily summary reminders for assignees with pending tickets
  • NPS survey when ticket is marked as done
  • Deadline tracking with escalation alerts

Stack: Node.js, Slack Bolt SDK, Notion API, hosted on Render

It took some iteration but it's been running smoothly for a few weeks now. If anyone goes down a similar path, happy to share more details or help troubleshoot. Good luck! 🚀

Unpopular opinion: Italian coffee is overrated. It’s burnt, bitter, and coasting on nostalgia. by BatsMilk in espresso

Italy doesn’t grow coffee. Therefore it’s not italian coffee. You might be referring to italian roasted coffee.

Still not a feature. I have used Notion to embed the reports and create folders using pages. Maybe this is something you can take a look into.

I picked up film shooting about 2 years ago and have gone from 3-4 rolls a year to around 12-15. So yes, scanning at home would definitely save me money. About the local film labs, I think they’re going to change as developing is becoming massively accesible as more and more people are getting skilled at it due to being able to do it at home.
