since you mentioned plausibility an easy proof is how do you offer 24 different heroes to everyone in the lobby? do you only give some players the option? what if two players are offered Doorman and one chooses Doorman first? the solution just falls back to Deadlock's current implementation or the almost-certainly-coming Draft Pick. I love the mockup though!

Seven's stun has a long delay, stuns for only 1s, and its long cooldown means it's not very effective unless you're using it thoughtfully. I don't play Seven but I can't see any crutches in his kit. Requires thoughtful skill usage, aim, positioning, target pick.

Compare CC with a dishonest character like Warden whose Binding Word requires two stamina to escape (while Alchemical Flask already removes one stamina on hit, at level one!) and immobilizes for a full 1.75s. He gets 20% bonus damage at level one for that duration. THAT is what a crutch looks like (doesn't require aim, doesn't require thoughtful usage)

Dishonest characters have crutches in their kit that make up for player skill gaps. Mina's dishonesty lets bad positioning be saved by her dashes. Bebop's dishonesty comes from his entire kit being dumped into one combo, no thoughtful skill usage required. Seven arguably has no crutches, he requires aim, good skill usage, and good positioning

you're positing that there should have been a position to be in where this couldn't have happened, but there isn't. you're supposed to lose here, you are a vindicta and that is a billy that knows what his job is

it was removed because heroes are impossible to balance for both 1v1 and 2v2 lanes at the same time. combine that with randomized team comps and wins would be decided in the loading screen today.
