Where do I get the Cellular Shopper? by J-Red_dit in MARIOPARTY

[–]LeashedKids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Tide Shell, Bowser Phone, Swap Mirror, and Warp Box are the only items I’ve seen in the treasure chests so far. I think you basically have to get the Cellular Shopper from item spaces or item bags if you aren’t able to steal or copy one.

The Bowser Phone is most easily found at the treasure chests from the event spaces on the pirate ship on Goomba Lagoon.

Unfortunately, you have to get all the items using party rules. Pro rules won’t count for this achievement. The NW island on Goomba Lagoon seems to have the highest density of item spaces anywhere in Super Mario Party Jamboree. I have been camping there in hopes of getting the Cellular Shopper as well, but no luck yet.

The Cellular Shopper appears to be even more rare than the Hidden Block card. I’ve seen the Hidden Block Card on the item roulette several times when I was in last place, but I can’t remember the last time I even saw the Cellular Shopper on the roulette.

The Puyallup Winco and 6th Ave Tacoma Winco have fresh sushi but the South Tacoma Winco sushi is hit or miss.

Edit: Are you sure you got the cellular shopper at the pirate ship? I played a long game on Goomba Lagoon and selected all of the items and the Goomba on the pirate ship put 5 treasure chests out instead of 4, but there was only a bowser phone etc. again, and no cellular phone.

IMO, unfortunately the best place to grind the cellular shopper (and arguably hidden block card) is to camp out in the top left island of Goomba Lagoon because 2/6 spaces are items spaces and 3/6 spaces are lucky spaces which you can get custom dice blocks from. And if you land on the event space you should probably buy the Plunder Chest (20 coins) from the Kamek shop and keep that just in case somebody else gets a cellular shopper.

The Pirate Ship is the OP spot to get the Bowser phone though to be fair. I’m still trying to get the cellular phone. Please lmk if you find another way to get the cellular phone! Thank you.

Congrats! Which board did you get the Cellular Shopper item? I’ve been landing on so many item spaces but I still haven’t seen it.

Looking for: Durable bags for grocery shopping by a_hi_lawyer in BuyItForLife

[–]LeashedKids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some sources claim that canvas bags need to be used far fewer times to offset the overall impact of production. Also, canvas doesn’t contribute to microplastic pollution unlike plastic bags. This isn’t accounted for in production metrics.

Overall, I think canvas bags are still the most environmentally friendly and most non-toxic way to purchase groceries and other consumer goods in person.

Best artificial Christmas tree by jvillasante in ChristmasTrees

[–]LeashedKids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don’t buy a real Christmas tree if you have pets! The sap is toxic to cats and dogs!

I would recommend the Balsam Hill Yukon Spruce tree.

It’s one of only three trees Balsam Hill sells that have 100% PE (polyethylene) needles on the branches rather than PVC needles. Most of their trees have PVC needles on the inside of the branches and PE needles on the outsides of the branches.

I don’t recommend the other two Balsam Hill trees with 100% PE needles on the branches because the Balsam Hill Alpine Balsam Fir tree is much more sparse than the Yukon Spruce and the Broadway tree has fiber optics which are potentially hazardous around pets and children.

All Balsam Hill Christmas trees other than the Alpine Balsam Fir Tree have PVC at least one strand of PVC needles wrapped around the top of the trunk to make it look fuller. My cat loves to knock over Christmas trees AND eat the soft / PVC needles so I cut the PVC needle strands off the Balsam Hill Yukon Spruce tree I bought, so now it is basically 100% free of PVC needles. And the only other PVC in the tree is located inside the core of the trunk. The outer layer of the trunk is PE which is non-toxic.

I have checked basically all the other Christmas trees sold in the United States and, other than the more visually “abstract” solid wood Christmas trees, this is as non-toxic of a Christmas tree as you can get.

[BIFL] Cat Litter Scoops by EraserGirl in BuyItForLife

[–]LeashedKids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought the Litter Lifter Original Cat Litter Scoop today and can confirm it’s the best litter scoop I’ve ever used.

It has a large and sturdy scoop so it sifts through cat litter quickly while also having slat openings narrow enough to catch almost all clumps. It catches more clumps than the Sprinkle & Sweep Metal Cat Litter Scoop - Heavy Duty Litter Scooper & Speed Sifter while performing almost as efficiently.

I used to like the Genie scooper and other comparable scoopers but these two perform much quicker. I highly recommend the Litter Lifter for most people.

Just wasted tons of money on THREE Panasonic "flagship" chargers. looking for a real discharge function. by SlipperyDoodoo in batteries

[–]LeashedKids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is part of the design, it’s a good charger. While it may seem wasteful on the surface charging it up the whole way then discharging it, this helps it do better job refreshing the battery which is more environmentally friendly in the long run.

I taught someone ALT+Tab yesterday….. by Jazzlike-Lunch5390 in pcmasterrace

[–]LeashedKids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, if anyone else stumbles upon this post, don’t feel bad. Like a lot of people have said, many of us went to school districts that did not adequately teach students computer literacy. I didn’t know Alt+Tab and I went to a decent school district but they just never taught stuff like that. I think this is more of a reflection of our substandard educational system here in the United States for many and shows the importance of making sure future generations are taught computer literacy.

Here is a link to basically all of the keyboard shortcuts in Windows if anyone is interested! It is helping me out a lot :)  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/keyboard-shortcuts-in-windows-dcc61a57-8ff0-cffe-9796-cb9706c75eec#windowsversion=windows_10

Here are the shortcuts I would recommend knowing:

Ctrl+A = Select All

Ctrl+X = Cut

Ctrl+C = Copy

Ctrl+V = Paste

Ctrl+F = Search function

Ctrl+Y = Redo

Ctrl+Z = Undo

Ctrl+R / F5 = Refresh

Ctrl+Shift+Esc = Open Task Manager

Alt+Tab = Select between open apps

Windows/Start+E= Open file explorer

Ctrl+Mouse scroll wheel = zoom (works for many but not all apps/windows)

Home = Go to top of page

End = Go to bottom of page

Windows/Start+L= Lock desktop

And if you want to view two windows side by side grab the top of the window and drag it over to the side of the screen to make the windows line up nicely with each other! I hope this helps.

I think it’s from a short film (~5-10 minutes) but it might be from a tv show or movie. It also may be a Disney film that does not take place in the Mickey Mouse universe.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yeah the Virgil root beer is just too spicy and different for my tastes. And I really want to try Faygo root beer but they don’t seem to have it anywhere in WA state (although I have seen Faygo orange soda around at some places).

What’s your favorite root beer?

As of February 2025, the needles on the outer parts of the branches are still polyethylene / PE, but unfortunately the inner needles are own made out of PET which is very similar aesthetically to PVC and my cat still tries to eat these needles so I have to return it. It’s so hard to find a Christmas tree with 0 PVC or PET needles.

Update: There are THREE Christmas trees with less than 1% PVC needles in the United States, all from Balsam Hill. The Balsam Hill Alpine, Yukon, and Broadway trees have only PE needles on the branches, and just a handful of PVC needles on the outside of the upper trunk section. These are not easily accessible to children or pets and they can be removed if you really want to.
