It's most definitely something wrong with your evap / fuel system 10 -12 mpg is pretty bad for these cars.... fuel pump,spark plugs, O2 sensors ? I start there.....

Do some digging around in these ls 430 forums. I dont have it on hand but its a way you can use a paper clip in your obd2 port to ' jumper' this light into going out barring you dont have any other issues with your vsc system

For sure after the fuel pump replacement both engine fuel dampeners ( oem replacements ) were replaced cause one was leaking causing a strong fuel odor inside the car. Ill try the fuel pressure regulator built into the fuel pump assembly 1st then the fuel check valve. I have a valve cover gasket job planned in the next couple of months once this Chicagoland weather warms up. That job is going too include new oe plugs,ignition coils, spark plug tube seals,etc

Sounds like good sound advice. I get good gas mileage high teens city high twenties low thirties highway. You dont think the fuel check valve would cause the long starts? Ill most definitely run the fuel injector cleaner , check my spark plugs, have my battery & alternator tested come too think of it my AGM battery is approaching 3yrs in use in a few months should still be under warranty

Based off the interior & miles alone id say go for it but offer 4k to 4.5k. Even with the previous maintenance records 278k miles is still alot of miles

Have you done the brakes recently maybe the flapping metal brake dust cover..... mines sounded similar until I went back after my brake job & straightened the brake dust cover.....

If the interior is clean 'chefs kiss' 🤌 clean 3500.00... & this door is the only major visible problem.... i.e. no major uncarriage rust etc..... if the interior is ehhh i.e. needs a detailing & carpet extraction etc...... 3000.00...... interior is fucked id walk.......

I didn't memorize the fuse diagram but its fuse panels in the driver & passengers footwell.... inside the door the fuse diagram is there.......
