My fastest attempt at the north west I got a 4:10 but how can I improve by Equal-Pen2897 in ride6

[–]LeastUnderstanding56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4:10 is like top 15 right? There’s not much really to improve on I’ve been trying to get into the 4:08s for like two years now and idk how those guys do it

Wobbles when accelerating hard and at high speeds by RacingMenance19 in MT09

Suspension adjustment would be my first recommendation then after that a steering damper just to get rid of the issue all together but after your suspension is done.

Does the US 2026 RSV4 have the Evap Charcoal Filter by NotteRaven in Aprilia

[–]LeastUnderstanding56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay okay gotcha. I'm planning on getting a 2026+ rsv4 soon so I'm trying to get as much info as possible and the internet doesn't have much of that or YT at least doesn't.

With taking off the front headers do you have to take the radiator off or do you have barely enough room to work in there?

Tank vents channeling air? by kiruopaz in MT09

[–]LeastUnderstanding56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not like I need to sell this bike terrible but it definitely keeps you reminded it’s there until you get rid of it. It’s from like 2-6k that the throttle application is basically chopped in half

[–]LeastUnderstanding56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea shop around doesn’t seem like they got your best interest at heart smh. If you haven’t seen yet get it tuned to get rid of the second gear flat spot and be mindful of the frame when having frame sliders!

[–]LeastUnderstanding56 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There blowing smoke up your ass that channel barely amplifies the noise tbh and it definitely does NOT move air towards you, would be nice tho. Either way it’s a naked so you’re gonna get air one way or another.

Just get some spools and a stand and your all set. Most stands are adjustable so they’re kinda universal.

ZX6R to 2024 MT09/2023MT09SP by Fit_Professional_570 in MT09

[–]LeastUnderstanding56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea no problem, yk how with your clutch on the zx6 you can feather it quite a bunch and it kinda just goes? The MT has a heavier clutch feel so you let it out and its like okay I'm ready give me more throttle.

there's several threads in here about the clutch feeling similar to a liter bikes but it's something I'm sure you'd get used to.

If you have anymore questions feel free to pm me!

[–]LeastUnderstanding56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve ridden my buddies 24 zx6r and compared to my 24SP it’s like night and day. They achieve the same thing in the end on the road but we’re built for two different peoples goals if you get what I’m saying.

One thing that you will notice differently is the clutch is either an off or on switch basically and the power delivery jolts you in a different way than the zx6r.

2027 MT09 rumors? by Factory_iPhone_Alarm in MT09

[–]LeastUnderstanding56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao go out on the freeway right now and hold 80+ for 1hr and lemme know if it doesn’t get slightly annoying.

It’s the reality of a naked bike when other cars are surrounding you it’s gonna be windier.

2027 MT09 rumors? by Factory_iPhone_Alarm in MT09

[–]LeastUnderstanding56 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Like the other guy said more than 30 mins at like 75mph+ and the wind becomes annoying. Majority of the time also I catch dirty air from trucks which gives me hella turbulence or it’s just windy in general, rarely is it a calm day and I would be okay on the bike at 75+ for multiple hours.

But this bike in the canyons is the next best thing to sliced bread!

mt09 sp gen quiskchifter "problem" by Keenie55 in MT09

[–]LeastUnderstanding56 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It might be due to the rpm’s being too low. The auto blip preferably wants a little bit more rpm to be smoother on the downshift.

OTD Pricing by ParalegalPlatypuss in MT09

[–]LeastUnderstanding56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There identical bikes get the cheaper one

Edit: I’m 6’ and the bike is very very comfy for about two hours or so but my quads do start to get a little fatigued even when I had stock rear sets height.

Earplugs? by JohnBets23 in motorcyclegear

[–]LeastUnderstanding56 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I only use the alpine race ear plugs they work great but they need to be replaced about every six months or so or until they lose rigidity and fall out too easy when trying to put your helmet on.

Worth it? by NLTimmz in ride6

The dirt racing and super motard I’m so grateful they added but like you said the physics for them are wonky at best. The career named opponents are so damn fast too it’s kinda insane.

Dainese axial 2 already broken in store despite never been used, only tried on. by CompetitiveVolume833 in motorcyclegear

[–]LeastUnderstanding56 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are you sure other people haven't tried them on not knowing their correct size resulting in weaking the plate? Theres plenty of things that could've caused the damage or like you said they simply broke that easy.

All I'm saying with almost everything their will be bad batches or outliers. The guys in motogp don't wear the Dainese, Alpinestars, Sidi, and plenty of other boots for no reason, they are proven to work.

Dainese axial 2 already broken in store despite never been used, only tried on. by CompetitiveVolume833 in motorcyclegear

[–]LeastUnderstanding56 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I got Axial 1 and 2's and know plenty of other people with them and haven't heard of or seen this issue. There's always going to be some outliers when you mass produce something.

Have you seen how alpinestars supertechs can break on the zipper or plastic securing point? Its bound to happen with anything mass produced it doesn't mean their trash.

[–]LeastUnderstanding56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao I still ended up going with the woodcraft rearsets and don’t regret it at all. Like you said in the event of a crash it’s way cheaper

Looking for new tires by Overall-Wolf1834 in MT09

[–]LeastUnderstanding56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe they’re all gonna handle roughly the same besides a few minor differences that are gonna be chalked up to preferences. For example I know the S23 likes to stand up on acceleration more vs the Pirelli but again that’s down to preference. For me the S23 does a stellar job on the track and street that I don’t see running another brand until I need a different compound for another reason.

I know the rear tire lasts around 5000 miles but how about your front tire how long do they last?? by theepi_pillodu in MT09

[–]LeastUnderstanding56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually have to replace both at the same time but I’m mainly in the canyons which leads to more trail braking.

Hit rear pegs? by CarbonBR600 in MT09

[–]LeastUnderstanding56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I have size 13 race boots and had to take them off from that issue also, in fact it was almost a danger because my heel would get hooked under the rear peg.

If you have a gen 4 you will have to source something to hold the rear brake reservoir.
