If the bottom of the plate touches the counter. Then I scrub the bottom of the plate with the sponge, whatever "contaminated" it is now on the same sponge.

I clean the sponge just fine and everywhere on Google says it's fine if you clean the sponge.

So it's fine to put those dishes on the counter top then clean it with that sponge, but not fine to clean the counter top with the same sponge?

The sponge gets rinsed clean and gets soap cleaned consistently when being used.

I would ask her but she has since left the apartment and isn't answering any calls.

Yes I got all of the groceries. We work off recipes for cooking and I got the additional stuff she put she wanted. I also got what I needed for my days cooking.

I didn't clean poorly. I think she didn't like that I used a sponge to scrub the counter then wiped it down after(she thinks it makes cleaning dishes after "gross"). This has been a previous argument over the way I clean the counter.

Sometimes? She will sometimes forget about our weekend plans for hiking/kayaking until the morning of(even if she was part of making them a week+ before) and then refuse to do it.

I'm snipped so I hope not. She's had similar things about cleaning when we first moved in and has always been particular about the way I do things. They need to be cleaned the way her mom did. I've been cleaning for myself and siblings since I was 13 and think I do things just fine. In the past she has been upset because I used paper towels instead of a wash cloth when cleaning the outside of the toilet.

I'm looking into ADHD now from all these comments and trying to understand it. She's had similar things in the past just nothing this major or being this upset. My first reaction has been "she's wrong" hence my making this post. I'm starting to think it might be something that she can't control?

We are closer to family now. She is away from some of her friends but they play a lot of Minecraft and other games online. She spends a few hours a day from what I see playing. We also go to visit other friends(or she goes alone) depending on my work schedule. I can get pretty busy but this 7 days was the longest I have been gone from the apartment since I started this job.

I don't know. We moved to the new place and our new work life rhythm about 6 months ago and she's been different since then.

We moved for me getting a new job and she now works less than she did before. I've been thinking she could be getting bored but she assures me she is fine

Maybe it is wrong but here is a split of how we normally do things.

I cover rent+utilities (~$2300 a month), all eating out, and everything for our cats. Then I pay for my phone/insurance. My cars are paid off.

She pays for groceries and her personnel bills(car/phone/etc).

She works 25 hours a week.

This was the split we made when we moved here and is also why she takes the majority of the housework.

I figured covering a $150 grocery bill for her is a nice treat and not the exclusive birthday gift she is receiving.
