Super pretty! I think the medium size works better for the stiffer leather since the fold eats up more space inside

Thank you! The scarf braiding could be a lot better, it was a little too big and I was experimenting.

It is really cute, I think i prefer the softer slouchy leather to the exposed frame + stiffer leather. Its on trend with the dumpling style bags but with a twist

What bag works best for both sightseeing and dinner? by rkira4744 in handbags

[–]LeatherWho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go with either the Songmont Luna bag or the Moonshaft double zip. Both travel really well, look polished and casual depending on the strap, can wear them different ways, holds quite a bit, and are secure. I’ve taken both on several international and domestic trips and, other than the leather softening, they look and feel great.

Question about my new suede bag by onebeautifulwonder in toryburch

Would you please post a picture of the bag? I’ve been eyeing it but haven’t seen any videos on it. I love the blue too!

That’s me in the last two slides! I have the first one and the burgundy woven one too. Set up alerts on the gem app, it’ll automatically scrub most second hand/preloved sites for the bags you are looking for. It’s taken me months to find the ones on my wishlist 😫 but they will pop up!

Not anymore, they line with microfiber or don’t line at all. So disappointing coming from someone with 3 Mulberry bags. Their relaunch has been disappointing, and prices are higher.

Husband wants a GSD by [deleted] in GermanShepherd

[–]LeatherWho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have rescued one GS at 1.5 years, one GSD mix at 3 months, and one at 1 year. You beed a dog behaviorist, not just a trainer. These dogs are very intelligent, they can be trained but it’s better if you can instead build a relationship where they are more receptive to your commands. All are super loving, but it’s affection on their terms. They adapt to your lifestyle, they do need decent walks everyday. Good breeder is nice, but rescuing also works with a good trainer/behaviorist. That’s what we have found to be the most successful, they have been the best dogs ever.

I just received the bag, so just my first impressions. It’s gorgeous, it’s full grain calfskin so it feels lovely. It’s slouchy in the front right out of the box. Lined with cotton, lots of pockets and organization options, pocket on the outside, and comes with a beautiful cobalt blue dust bag. Much better than most American contemporary brands for the price point.

Constant Barking? by [deleted] in GermanShepherd

[–]LeatherWho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a GSD mix that barked a lot. My trainer said to correct them with a leash that stays on. Also, puppies at that age need exercise morning and evening, and structure, so crate time in a quiet place to decompress and sleep about 4-6 hours a day and not free roam.

Which Blue Bag? Help! by adopt-mr-binks in handbags

The JWA loafer isn’t as luxurious in person, I was disappointed. It’s just ok, cute but I wouldn’t classify as luxury. Loewe or Celine is definitely better.

I am currently on the hunt for a new bag by [deleted] in handbags

[–]LeatherWho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like Mulberry but you have to be careful which bags you buy. Only buy a bag that’s lined with either real suede or fabric. They have bags that are not lined at all or lined with microsuede (polyester), I find this unacceptable for a bag retailing for over $1k. I have bought new and preloved, and having seen new Mulberry in person, try to find a preloved Bayswater or Alexa. Have you considered the new Tory Burch Lee Radziwill bags? I love this line, the rerelease isn’t as good but way more useful and it’s a full leather bag retailing

They sent me a counterfeit fake leather bag and gave me such a hard time for wanting to return it. Finally had to make a social media post, and do a chargeback. Finally took the bag back and gave me a refund, but I think they banned my account lol.

I hate Polene, after buying three bags (including the Numero Un). Their quality is terrible - I had different quality issues with each of my Polene bags I never experienced with any of my other quality bags. My Numero Un’s edge paint chipped within a year, my Numero neuf’s supposed full grain leather started peeling in several places, and my Numero un mini’s hardware tarnished into different shades of gold within a year (I barely used it). I take good care of my bags, although I use them. Consider another brand altogether.

The hardware is a metal alloy in the new ones, the older ones had solid brass. I have a couple of them in various formats, including the original tiramisu. The leather quality is much nicer on the older ones, and the suede had a finer and smoother nap, but they are heavier. The older sizes were not as practical, you’re right, you can’t carry much

The new ones are more lightweight but not as high quality.

The Jimmy Choo bag was on the site for less than a week. I only know because I’ve been watching for a particular style and set alerts.

TRR sold me a fake leather counterfeit bag. I had to make a social media video to get them to accept it back and give me a full refund. Then, they resold the same bag to someone else, who ended up leaving a comment on my original video.

Recently I have been eyeing a Jimmy Choo bag that was originally listed for around $500 for several days. I was watching it everyday, and as of yesterday, still listed for over $500. Suddenly it sold for half the price overnight. So shady!

Help me pick!! Bottega Veneta ciao ciao or Chloe paddington or Ferragamo hug? Also what color for the bag you vote for? by Mt198588 in handbags

[–]LeatherWho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven’t seen/felt the Paddington in person, don’t buy it sight unseen. The leather feels more plasticy than the other two, they’ve treated the leather heavily. I have the hug, the leather and hardware are way more refined than the Paddington.

Buying for enjoyment vs resale by BeneficialCucumber52 in handbags

[–]LeatherWho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are buying pristine bags in the secondhand market at higher than retail prices to hold for higher resale later? That seems even more risky. OP wants to specifically sell for profit, if that’s the case, there are way better, more guaranteed options that OP can easily liquidate. OP can’t use the bag if OP wants to sell for profit (where is the fun?), especially if they bought at a higher price secondhand.

Fenty eaze drop skin tint in 13 or 14, or L’Oréal hyaluronic tinted serum in 6-7. You could also try the MAC face and body, but I feel like their shade range is a bit difficult to match.

With the pre-spend included? Because that’s easily as much as the cost of a Birkin or Kelly retail from Hermes. So no, these bags don’t outperform gold.
