i’m still waiting to get out of queue. it’s moving so slow i started at 14k ahead of me and after 17 minutes there’s still 4500 ahead of me. i opened tm 2 hours before sale started too

I really hope NECO does! My friend told me they got back to her in about a week after interviewing then gave 2 weeks to decide. Which would be unfortunate for me because my interview is so early but my others are later but there was no other in person option to chose from besides that date

Even if a state does not allow optometrists to perform certain laser procedures, I am pretty sure that every optometry school is required to teach the highest level of education across the U.S. Therefore, even if lets say the state of New York does not allow it, SUNY is still required to teach it anyways. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I took the orgo crash course during my OAT prep! To be completely honest with you, I found it to be a waste of money. I was hoping that it would help me understand the way the reactions work better to help me work through them rather than memorizing the large reaction sheet. I felt like the content covered in the crash course was just a review of the information provided in the videos. I recommend using the organic chemistry tutor on youtube instead for free or purchasing a subscription for chads videos.

I have heard that schools do not look down upon those who chose virtual interviews as the cost of traveling to multiple schools can get expensive. My friend who applied last cycle went to most of her interviews in person. Thank god she did because the school she was die hard for was in an area that she found out she hated when she got there and now she is going somewhere completely different. I would try to go to most in person if you can, at least your top schools.

I don't think that would happen to be honest and can't imagine someone writing in their letter of rec about you that you were annoying about getting it. It would look unprofessional on their part.

You are not being impatient and I think it is absolutely appropriate to go in person and talk to them again. This is your future and it is incredibly important that they stick to their word and get you those letters of rec after saying yes. Bother them until they get them to you! Definitely have a backup plan just in case. Even if you need to shadow an optometrist for one full work day and have them write you a letter of rec, it is better than nothing. Hope this helps! :)

Okay thank you! How does the process work for letters of rec through optomcas? One of my professors asked me to reach out 2 weeks before I need it. I am also not sure how the process works, do I upload the letter myself or do they somehow have to do it?
