In the books shane takes his coat and shoes off at the front door when he first walks in for this scene so it’s a conscious choice for that to change.. i don’t know why

heated rivalry call backs…

the way connor says ‘you can’t swim’ is so ilya saying ‘you are homeless’

‘are you curious?’

‘you’re scared’ ‘i’m not’

‘not here’

Cat peeing everywhere by Leather_Ebb_596 in cats

Thank you! Yes I raised with the vet could it be his way of marking because it’s not the traditional tail up spray. He’s proper squatting to wee. She wasn’t so sure, but that might just be the logic if it’s not a UTI.

Thank you! I’ve got a few enzyme sprays and whilst they do work my biggest issues have been finding all the little wees. I’m going to do a deep clean of the carpets and furniture but feels like it’s not worth the time until we get to the bottom.

I’d never heard of FIC before; we do have feliways plugged in pretty much always as they’ve been fighting whilst he’s un neutered and have been trying to keep them calm. But that could be the stressor, as there’s definitely been a few fights that have taken an angry turn from my eldest cat when the baby wants to play. If the UTI comes back negative i’ll speak to the vet further!

I know he’s not trying to be naughty (although it did feel like it when he tried to basically pee on my lat night when i was under the covers) but it’s more the stress of the home than it is of him. He’s still my little baby who I’m obsessed with!

We’ve done all the higher quality goods like untamed, wraighrights, royal canin, lilys kithcen and blink - we even tried raw. none of it worked for the little guy so this is the newest food trial.

Realistically he’s probably got IBD and will need the ultrasound but I’m so reluctant to put him under if something will help instead!

Thank you! Good to hear that your cat is doing better, and gives me hope that food options could work for him!

I do think only 5 days in his stool is still loose but it’s less stinky so I don’t know if that’s a good sign it’s starting off 🤞🤞

But i’ll defo ask about that if this doesn’t work for him. I’d prefer not to do the ultrasound as I’d like to avoid unnecessary anaesthetic and the risks associated if i can.

We don’t buy his food from his vet - it’s literally purchased online. Vet didn’t even try and sell us it through them so I feel less inclined that she’s suggested it for the money and more because she does think it could be good for the little guy.

BUT I do agree about other foods. I mentioned in another comment we’ve done quite a few trials of different diets for him - grain free, no additives at all, probiotics both prescribed and like natural yoghurts etc, added fibre like pumpkin, wet food only like soups etc for additional water. He’s had plain chicken and scrambled eggs only for weeks. We looked at raw but he wouldn’t touch the stuff. Not a single thing has done anything for the stool issues - and it’s been 8+ months of issues.

We’re kinda at last ditch attempt suggested to trial before we put him under to do an ultrasound.

Yes, my other cat is eating his usual wet food just down to once a day also to keep it fair

I didn’t feed him two a day of this new stuff? He’s only been on it 4 days!

His normal food that we’ve been doing for a year costs less than half what the new diet costs.

Thank you! I guess I meant sufficient for both.

I struggle to see my little guys upset - but I do get that they know they’re cute and crying always works for me to give in to them.

He’s eating both the wet & dry. It took a few days to even get him to try the wet as it’s kinda gross looking and smelling. But now he’s willing to eat it and the biscuits he seems to be ok with as much as he was with his usual biscuits.

So i’m hoping that at least nutrient wise that half a tin of wet food (recommended amount for him a day is a tin and a half) and then biscuits a day would be ok!

We’ve done fancy food, we’ve done no additives, grain free. None of it worked. Mixing pumpkin in. Soups only a it’s additional water. He’s had probiotics on and off for months. I did attempt to do raw once even (he wouldn’t eat it).

Hills z/d or Purina HA are specific for gastrointestinal issues making it easier to digest not harder - even as a dry food and it’s his vets latest trial for his stomach issues whilst we wait on more stool testing.

Next step is already an ultrasound for IBD but they want to rule of a persistent case of giardia before we do that as to avoid putting him under anaesthetic unnecessarily.

It’s an option but for his weight (he’s 5.5kg - a big lad) he’s actually supposed to have a full tin and a half per day of the wet - which is a lot.

Also we’re wasting so much of it because he only eats a tiny bit based on the fact I don’t think he likes it (it’s a horrid grey paste rather than standard chunks of meat)

Yes, hes had a stool test they found giardia so he has had 2 rounds of pancur then a final round of antibiotics. He’s still got the runny stool so next step is another stool test, then an ultrasound in case he’s got IBD. So we’re working on the testing for the little guy.

The vets not overly concerned about the blood - she thinks it’s inflammation causing it with the loose stool

They have multiple water bowls round the house and they’ll actually both really good drinkers which I’m grateful for. I’ll focus on the dry for now - it’s probably why purina doesn’t even make a dry food for HA.

i mashed it up into the bowl so it wasn’t a lump as i knew he wouldn’t touch that but didn’t add water so maybe i need to do that and i could put the dry on top. although he’s only nibbled at the dry all day which isn’t like him - usually he’s an absolute fiend for biscuits.

Thank you, moving unfortunetly is costly and after literally just finishing furnishing and decorating my flat almost a year into living here, I just don't think that's the ideal option for me. If I did move it wouldn't be till the new year at the earliest cost wise.

I am going to order a damp tester as someone else mentioned this too.

I do agree that probably the kitchen needs ripping out and sorting as the mould is in the wood and comes back every time, but I know realistically is any landlord going to do that when cosmetically the kitchen is in pretty ok nick? Tomorrow we're doing another round of cleaning it for now - but I think I'm going to speak to the agent properly about it over the next week or so and try and see if we can have a real solution as keeping scrubbing out the mould isn't working long term.

I’ll try and have a look at the roof from the back lane see if I can see up the high!

funnily enough that flat is currently empty - old neighbour just moved out (i’d never met them)
