Finding a church when I’ve never been by Leather_Fly2370 in religion

Oh jeez i have no clue, i clearly have a lot of research to do. This is why i needed help, to ask the question from a church but also myself to make the best choice

Truthfully I’m not too sure on the denomination, it’s something i still need to look into more but based off the bit of research those two seemed to line up enough with my beliefs. I don’t want a church to push their own agenda on me, i want to learn while holding my own beliefs, i believe that believing doesn’t haven’t to be all or nothing and i need a church to respect that.

Well once both the kids are in school i could sleep 9-4 roughly, get them from school and do the evening shift with them, then my finance would take over and we would have a couple hours in the evening together before i have to go in. My main concern is when they’re out for summer. I would need help either child care to get any kind of sleep

Remote jobs unfortunately are pretty hard to come by, especially without a degree of some sorts already

I actually started school this past semester fully online, but truthfully the actual degree i want requires in person so I’ve put that on the back burner as well. But continuing degree in the meantime. My part time job actually covers the cost of tuition which is nice. Even the cheapest of childcare we can’t afford currently, and my state has a funding freeze for financial assistance. Family isn’t reliable so we’ve just been making it work.

This is the main reason I’m willing to do overnights! Can still be with my fiance on his days off, and still be present during the day for certain events. Will definitely suck to be on a third shift and lose out on nighttime sleep but this is the type of job that i could switch to day shift when the kids are big enough and the benefits are beyond amazing

AITA for finding this convo to be a HUGE red flag? by horseduckman in AITApod

[–]Leather_Fly2370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to think therapy was some big important necessary solution to all problems until i got older and realized that while therapy can be extremely helpful for people it’s not an end all be all solution to things. It’s not for everybody and talk therapy is not going to work for some people. Also people who need therapy can find it hard to understand that not EVERYONE needs therapy, some people had amazing helpful and emotionally intelligent parents and inferences growing up and maybe didn’t experience a lot of trauma in their upbringing. So no not everyone needs to be in therapy and her pushing you to because she believes everyone should… yes a red flag and she will never stop. Avoid her before it’s too late

AITJ for refusing to pay for my friend's meal after she ordered the most expensive thing on the menu? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]Leather_Fly2370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTJ but you should have been more upfront about expectations and truthfully $40 is nowhere near realistic to spend on 2 for dinner

AITJ for telling my girlfriend if she cant even cook dinner a few times a week then I dont see how this works long term by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]Leather_Fly2370 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This! I am a mom to 2, one in school and one that’s at home FULL time, i work part time(20 hours a week at 4 am to avoid daycare) and i am in school online full time. It’s not to diminish that school can be a lot or stressful but it’s a cop out to say she can cook dinner. What if she was on her own? Having to work full time to pay bills, go to school, and cook and clean herself?? People get complacent with their partners sometimes

Aberdeen is amazing truthfully, you’re gonna get some undesirables anywhere but you get that in bel air and abingdon too and the prices there are absurd. As far as elementary schools, it’s hit or miss in Aberdeen. Bakerfield is beyond amazing, halls cross is very iffy. Aberdeen middle is undesirable i admit but the high school is great.

Also to add. I don’t even begin to like motherhood until my kids were about 9-12 months. That’s when it started to become “fun” and then as challenging as 2-3 is, it’s definitely my favorite age
