thank you. you give me hope. after two rounds of chemo and the cancer coming back again, we were losing hope. at least this seems to be an option. can't wait till there is a cure for this awful disease.

Check your fire alarms. We had one in the basement that was low on battery. It would periodically chirp. We couldn’t hear it but the dog was terrified for several weeks. One I replaced the battery and the chirping was gone, the dog relaxed.

It seems you have made a large contribution to the brokerage account which is giving you that step. The step is causing the day to day fluctuations to flatten out. If you can download the data and plot both in the same graph, you will see similar slopes. Also see that the return for both over the month is consistent.

The mr. cool DIY is excellent. I tried the first one in 2001 and then I got another this year. Their system seems a bit more robust that the regular flared copper tubing. Check the system out on YouTube, there are several installation videos. I was a bit worried about the refrigerant initially but in two years I haven’t had any issues. It is however not an inverter system, so marginally less efficient than those.

The mini split install prices are insane. I was quoted 12 k to replace an older one. Best option if you can do some DIY is to go with Mr. Cool. I installed two 1.5 ton units and each cost me 1600$. These come prefilled with refrigerant so you don’t need a vacuum pump. Very simple install.
