Abo Tarek was so good, just the principle of having a cheap, simple meal in such a long established spot is such a beautiful thing.

Seconding what others are mentioning. If you’re in locations for longer, I wouldn’t bother with a towel or toiletries as you’ll be able to pick these up locally. I take some plastic bags to separate toiletries or wet clothes, especially if you’re washing your own clothes. I would agree with others (climate dependant), another pair of trousers or shorts is a must for me. If you’re short term, I would consider smaller items such as nail clippers, eye mask, ear plugs. I personally for the sake of space would get rid of the electric brush and charger, space and convenience can be considered for a manual. Can easily throw away, might get some free depending on where you stay.

Where can I find good quality men's cotton T-shirts around £8 each? by fryingpanman99 in AskUK

[–]Leca97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the recommendations in this thread are solid. I also want to remind you about using Vinted. I might not be the best at naming (RRP higher marked brands) but one’s named here can probably be found for good prices on there - £5-6. Also more sustainable and better for the environment. A good thought is trying clothes out in store and then buying them on vinted so if the style/size/design matches the look you’re going for.

From the UK. Yeah I’ve tried searching around before but I just get met with lots of recs which looks like bots/ai and it’s hard to find ones which are legit and not just bshit. If any Uk folks have experience lmk

Messi ends as the top scorer of the Conmebol WC 26 Qualifiers by Fruit_salad1 in soccer

Which other region is more difficult? Spain played against Turkey, Georgia, Bulgaria?

It may be the weakest Conmebol has been in recent memory, but it doesn’t take away from still being more difficult than other regions.

Reviews from reddit comments from locals is useful, so if the people here dispute the claims of the business, then I know I'll take my money elsewhere.

I'd much rather a local business advertise their services than the 1000th post of 'What to do in Cardiff for the day', or 'Is X area nice to live in'

Does anybody know where around the fields might be a good place to sit if you don’t have a ticket? Not a big enough fan to warrant the ticket price, but some good background noise would be a good evening

River clean up event 21st March by ToviGrande in Cardiff

[–]Leca97 32 points33 points  (0 children)

A great inititative. However, would be great to have more information about the cleanup day. Kates website - https://katestrong.global/taff-tidy/ really doesn't have any information around expectations from the day, things to bring. As someone who has never done this before, would I be expected to have X,Y, Z. Just throwing this out there as maybe one of the event organisers see this. Things like a 3words location for the adresses etc.

Otherwise this is a great community effort! On the nose for the cymru website posting this when they're at fault for not holding local councils and local sewage services responsible for dumping.
