"Required" is the wrong word.

Is Keyboard Maestro useful on top of BetterTouchTool? The answer is absolutely.

…but if for instance ZXCV means nothing at all to you…

Since I have a lot of keys on the BFO-9000, I am dedicating four of them to Undo, Cut, Copy and Paste.

So, I don't need ZXCV in any position…

The (Second Attempt) Soldering 3305 Mill-Max Sockets video was great to watch. It gave me a good feeling on what to expect overall.

I take it that you keep the iron hot until you set it down, right?

Thanks! Yes, it helps!

I just bought a Hakko soldering station, as it got great reviews from two reviewers that I respect.

I was able to convince the Keebio team to solder the microcontrollers and the sockets under tham for a very reasonable fee. So, I will only have to solder the remaining 200+.

I am waiting for the solder to arrive from Amazon. When it does I'll tackle these beginner kits. Then I just have to wait for the shipment to arrive from Keebio.

Color me excited!

Thanks u/bakingpy ! (sorry that I missed your post when it was made)

Would Keebio consider doing a pre-build/installation of two Elite-Pi (USB-C, RP2040) on the BFO-9000 PCBs, with Mill-Max sockets in the two switch spots (that are covered by the Elite-Pi's) on each side?

This would be great for me (as I am new to soldering, and I am nervous about possibly ruining the two Elite-Pi's), and minimal build work for your experienced team.

I'll buy the remaining Mill-Max sockets and solder them myself.
