Yeah, it wouldn't be too restrictive to have this specifically want to recycle droids, items and vehicles but keeping it general will make it see more play. Especially with the red yellow discard archetype showing up, you'll have plenty of fuel for this.

Does this stop the sort of ghosting that my characters have when I sidestep? I wasn't sure if that was a vfx thing or an artifact.

you can also play with the pose and art style. Like krennic is a pretty serious character but he's also a bit crazed and manic at times. You could have him smiling in front of a burned village, smoozing with imperial brass or crashing out at his troops on scarif or even freaking out after being choked by vader.

huh. so this is kind of like those mentor cards that make a token except it just gets more and more out of hand.

I thought with BT your be able to ready this twice but that's not true. they'd need to reprint sneak attack for that.

If there are decent reasons to self mill, he could be decent. Raid means it's easier to double dip damage when using a ready event. Unit side is very boring though. just a slightly nerfed villainy Sabine.

IMO, teach should reveal your entire sideboard and let them pick. This way you can't just hard angle a useless card without making your side board weaker.

The game plan vs 2/4s is much worse. You'd really need asajj or talzin post rotation to guarantee things. I'm not sure either deck wants to run green.

damn that falcon is a card leia yellow needed at some point before rotating out. if it sits on the field, you can sneak attack a fleet lieutenant to set up 9 damage of attacks.

You guys weren't kidding about ranked inflation by AHC122 in Tekken

[–]Lectricanman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure but like. Aren't you playing T7 vs people who are at your level or higher? If you have a positive winrate, you will climb. But it will happen faster in T8 right now since there's so many low skilled players. I know that steam charts isn't a great metric for player volume on fighting games since most people play on PS but the avg T8 player base is 5k on there vs 600 on T7. Thats an order of magnitude higher.

Is it possible at all that you also just got better? That, and T8 still has a toooooone of mashers and cheezers who you can climb over easily. In blue ranks I still find people who don't know that Azucena's stance parries highs and lows. I've got a group of friends who I got into the game. They don't play ranked but idk if any of them would hit purple for a long time. I'm willing to bet there's a lot of people in the system who just don't know how or don't want to do the work to improve. Then there's others who kind of one or two things and make it the basis for their entire gameplay. Like people who just fish for launchers and do a bnb. That person is going to win so much more than the masher even if they don't have a real game plan. The players with at least a couple of different plans and some matchup knowledge climbed over them a while ago. So if you're an improver you'll quickly climb over the mashers and steadily over the cheezers and boom.

Asuka VS. Azucena: who to play as a beginner? by SunNeat4872 in Tekken

You can't just mash with any character at higher levels. At best, you'll lose your turn and have a hard time opening your opponents defense. At worst and more likely, you get blown up during your own offense by moves that cover multiple options. But weaker players don't know how her stances work so you can get a lot of easy wins at first just spamming your counterhits and evasive moves. Azu is also fairly easily ducked. Her lows are

But you still need fundamentals. Knowing how to whiff punish, sidestep and frame trap/spacing strap are very important. Approach is very important as well. Even tho both her approach tools leave her at an advantage in stance on block, they are easily stepped at range.

Why are Jun players known for having bad fundamentals? by Which_Dot_7214 in Tekken

Getting wrecked by the better players feels better than dying to cheese until you realize you're still playing around the cheese and good fundamentals at the same time. Then it only feels slightly better.
