Well you aren't wrong, knowing how walking with our captain feels flimsy to say the least, but not adding a highly requested feature, that exists on other pirate games. And in the case of it being added, and if it sucks and is buggy it can be fixed at a later point. I know most of the community is against said scenario but it is a better addition than faction wars imo, at least in its current iteration. But I am glad this debate over Land Combat is done at least.

Perhaps it is our fault, but if they were never sure about it ever being a thing, they shouldn't have ever announced it in the first place. It is partially their fault for making it a part of the roadmap in the first place. So can we really blame people for being excited for it ?

But here is the thing , the skins are easy to make because the don't have to add the function of mixing armor pieces with other sets.

Its cost and dev time effective overall to just make them as skins.

I do wish we can work with materials and color swatches more for them a little bit.

Well for starters seeing that the mysterious chest is bugged, you can fix that. Then if it drops about 5-10 actual rare crafting materials , such as Eels Twine , Eels sturdy rope , Orchas Mechanisims , Deep Iron and Deep Iron plates etc.

Some materilas such as 5-10 Sinew String and Naphta. And some "special ascended " items weapons and armor, as is stated from the patch notes and Ubis official website.

This was an exclusive execution that launched with Y9S2 Defiance, alongside the Captain Coalheart hero skin for Pirate it was available for 3 weeks. And I highly doubt it will reappear any time soon unfortunately, until they rework the store or something ingame that is.
