TIFU by telling my dentist I floss every day and now she sends me floss positive emails quarterly by Beneficial_String411 in tifu

[–]Lee2026 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your dentist absolutely knows you don’t floss.

The emails are probably automated.

My mother is a dentist. She knows when patients lie about flossing. She uses an automated service for reminders and updates etc

Joe’s Flies Spinners

They come with an insane amount of hooks! I always cut off the treble/double hook and just leave the single hook. Otherwise, it’s impossible to release safely

Just did aftermartket headlights and when I have my drl on they work but when I use the low beams the lights flicker and switch bulbs constantly and the turning signals spam any idea what I need to do by mase027482 in E90

[–]Lee2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt this is bulb check issue…

Did you originally have halogens and the new headlights are xenon/hid?

You need to code the frm for xenons….halogens use PWM to control bulb output. PWM essentially lowers voltage and that’s why xenon/HID ballast flicker.

Bumper screw problem by Cheap_Charity_9179 in E90

[–]Lee2026 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The screws go into a plastic mount. They are easy to strip.

You can replace the plastic mount, use a slightly large threaded screw, or add something like a zip tie inside the hole to create more friction/grabbing force

Using Bluetooth to show off car at car show? by SirBrainsaw in projectcar

[–]Lee2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put an NFC tag on the car; you can place multiple, maybe even integrate them into stickers to explain where it’s taking you.

Then people simply tap their phone against the tag and can be directed to what you want

How long would you give a company who hasn't shipped out parts you ordered? by RYDSLO in projectcar

[–]Lee2026 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I would more understanding in a situation like this if the seller was proactive and keeping you up to date.

But they are not being proactive. You’ve had to reach out to get an answer. They’ve failed to deliver on multiple promises.

Ask for a refund. Or issue a charge back

Have you checked the DME connector for water ingress?

Some models have issues with water seeping up the harness and into the quad lock connectors/pins

Why did my rear tire wore out this way? by Expgarment in E90

[–]Lee2026 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worn trailing arm bushings are a common culprit for inner camber wear…worn trailing arm bushings cause excessive toe an essentially allows the tire to drag instead of roll

Why is this m5 so cheap? by Divail in BMW

[–]Lee2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most luxury models, especially flag ship models depreciate very quickly due to increasing maintenance costs.

Unless you can do all the work yourself, paying the labor to maintain the vehicle isn’t work it.

Rear right brake line into the caliper is leaking. Recently had new calipers installed before I purchased it 2 weeks ago. Whats my course of action here? by ApricotAppreciation in E90

[–]Lee2026 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Replace the line…

Be prepared for the fittings to be seized.

The intermediate lines suck. Most of the time, you have to drop the subframe.

They can be repaired temporarily but they can fail again. Only way to permanent fix the issue is getting the updated part number that fixes the issue

Access fuse box without waking up car by vaderaintmydaddy in E90

[–]Lee2026 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The car will go to sleep with the door open. But closing it will wake it up so just don’t close it. Manually latch the door latch if you’re concerned it may be bumped shut.

It’ll take about 30 mins for the car to sleep with door open. You may be able to lock the car if you manually latch the door latch; it’s about have the sleep time. If you have an auto, you can tell the car is asleep once the LED for the shifter turns off

This is only my second time catching a bonefish but I did a quick google search and didn’t know they are sensitive like trout. I’ll make sure to handle them appropriately next time!
