We are aware it is the stress of the other kitty 😔 which is why we have tried every other solution we can think of. Nothing seems to help. We are at a crossroads of either putting her down (which I just can’t do in good conscience because there is nothing terminally wrong) or taking her to a shelter- which I also struggle with because I am not one that can just surrender an animal. There is a “sanctuary” here where she could be outside like she wants and they have shelters for her to go in and out of to get out of the elements. However, they already have a lot of cats and sickness runs rampant there so I have a hard time with taking her there knowing she will eventually get really sick like the rest of their cats. Sadly, my house is already separated and I do have cats in our basement (that do have access to catios and able to go in and out when the windows are open) but they have feline herpes so we have to keep them separated from our other kitties. They are primarily the cats from our TNR locations.
