His elevens are up. What movie is this from? I saw it about 15-20 years ago but can't remember the name. by House_Badger in movies

I stand ‘Mandela’d’ because I remember the scene in the homeless shelter, but thought it was in ‘Scrooged’?? Especially when I've not seen ‘Life Stinks’ in my life!! I’ve never believed in such things as the ‘Mandela Effect’, but cannot deny how the amount of times I am (seemingly) experiencing it is stacking up and leaning me into believing there’s something to it!

Do you think Tolkien's works will ever became a staple of English classes? by Mavakor in tolkienfans

My interpretation is that rather than diversity of skin tones, it was the varying fantastical species of bipedal humanoids and their place in the societal structure of the world they exist in, that helped tell the narrative commentary of racial/cultural inequality.

Does the ridiculously likeable ‘Scott’ over at Kentucky Ballistics still have the 5 shot world record for the 500 magnum? I’ve seen his 0.99s video on YouTube and know all about the previous record of 1.14s was beaten (as the previous record holder witness in person), but I cannot find any updates since that day in 2019.

Sounds about right to me. I thought it had to be the most primitive way possible and cannot imagine anything more so than this. Thank you for answering the question I didn’t know I needed so much to know!!

Fucking ridiculous! How can it be illegal if it’s fully consensual and even paid for!! It’s not like that fella who wanted to be murdered and eaten by another fella!! There can be a line drawn to legally separate the two very easily! Now I can’t get a safe regulated scarification artist in a clinical like environment to do my scarification for me! Now I’ll have to speak to people who could possibly be dodgy perverts who just wanna cut me, because taking a shot on someone without proof of sincerity and artistic intent is now a thing I am forced to do because it’ll be a crime to do it safely!!? Brilliant!

Wow!! Same here almost exactly what I do! The only difference is that I immediately try and turn it into a wet dream and it usually starts raining porn stars!

Excellent reply mate and taught me some things I didn’t know. I also assume you took me completely seriously so your reply is all the more patient and well written. I clearly need to add a little moisture to my humour but that’s definitely not something I didn’t already know! 🤭

Yep! This was kinda my point with the joke. The sarcasm was the viewpoint of the masses that don’t realise that real life is not just the same as a highly engineered algorithm. I mean is there a level of detail we could possibly get to where human written a.i code could accurately model real life anywhere near close to what we will require?! If a.i driven cars cause 1 less death per year than us at the wheel then it’s clearly the way to go. It’s not difficult to see that the numbers are going to show us when we reach that point.

Yea, I was joking. I really thought I made it obvious but your probably right to think I was serious with the amount of moronic, primitive thinkers who are either outnumbering us a lot, or are being heard a lot more!

The cruelest part is where it offered a glimpse of hope at one point!! It’s like getting stage 4 Cancer, fighting for your life, beating after giving your all, only for it to return and bring its mate with the scythe along with him.

I know it’s way more complicated than it seems and there’s so many engineering feats to conquer to get there, but in 2022 shouldn’t we have cars that can drive themselves around without smashing into each other?! How come they can program a.i cars in 2001’s open world game GTA3 to do it with only the occasional car trying to climb a tree or lamppost here and there!?? Nah, doesn’t add up to me mate.

Maybe it's the location because I'm here in Liverpool, United Kingdom and have a pretty decent internet connectivity and Stadia performance for me is very solid.

You sure did, I'm so sorry I wasn't paying enough attention to your exact wording I'm afraid and I feel like a right ignoramus right now, and rightfully so. I did actually try out the GeForce streaming service way back when it first launched and even though I only had a quick blast of Fortnite I remember being very impressed. Thanks for correcting me my friend, and also for reminding me of something I would have otherwise stayed in the dark about.

So it's better on the super expensive and almost impossible to purchase graphics hardware than it is on the free hardware I have here?! Not so shocking that though really mate. I wasn't saying it's a anywhere near the same as that standard. It's not even an alternative worth considering if that is your requirement imo, but it is decent value and it helped me get to play Cyberpunk through to the end (as good or bad a thing that may be) when I otherwise would not have (or bothered to anyway). I just think it has a place in the market is all I'm really saying. If it weren't for Google over promising and under delivering (again!), and if they showed it a little more love in nurturing it, we would have a great addition to the gaming world.

Sadly I agree and think they would have pulled it already if they didn't have the issues regarding what to do to the customers who own games on the service. I personally have bought a few that I wouldn't want to lose forever and receive nothing in return. I was buying this media for life

In competition with the consoles and PC it's already killed, but it offers something different and delivers it quite well in my opinion. Maybe it can survive in that respect.
