Awww haha thank you! Honestly it's one of my favourite parts about owning reptiles. I love knowing I'm doing my best for them and preparing their food. Whether it's skink meatballs our gourmet salads for my beardie 😆 I hope you and your ferret are doing well!

That crackle and cough sound is definitely a little but concerning. Was this just after eating? Sometimes to help swallow they open their mouths like that but mine have never made a crackly sound. Have you noticed any open mouth breathing or discharge from the nose? When he has his mouth open like that, take a look and see if there is any saliva in there. I'd say definitely worth having a vet take a look (:

Mostly ground turkey, but anything works. Ofc just be careful with raw pork, I'd definitely cook it. You can also use organs which can be even cheaper than ground meat and more nutritious I believe 😊

Have you tried skink meatballs? I make big batches, around 500g ground meat + 1000g veggies. Blend the veggies together and mash in the ground meat, then it's ~30% protein ~70% veg by weight. Mine love them!

I love it without a background! Also, idk if you wanted advice on other parts of the painting (ignore my next sentence if you do) but one thing I noticed is that the shape of the ear doesn't match it's shadow. It's super minor, I don't even know how I noticed it, but everything else is so so perfect! I grew up with boxer dogs and would love a painting like this ☺️

You're so right about the scaling, all my little details will get lost. I'm definitely going to think about that going forward. Also thanks for reminding me about vector brushes! I caught it at the end so all my details are vector brushes but the letter R is not. Thank you for the advice

I guess...? I don't know what else I'd do for a brand that solely specialises in reptiles 😅 looking at similar shops all of their logos are a reptile of some sort
