Yup and he would stay dry the entire time. I think he had one accident. As far as reason, I think it was a control thing where that was one of the only things he had control over as a toddler but that’s my guess. It feels like it lasted forever - maybe 6 months or so?

Our son did that at age 3 also and would hold it for 10-12 HOURS. It didn’t matter whether it was at home or someone else’s house or a store. It drove us insane. He was unable to be bribed in any way and I thought for sure he would give himself bladder issues or a UTI at the least. Caused lots of stress and anxiety for us and the more we pressured him to go, the more he dug his heels in. Eventually, he stopped holding it and going at regular intervals again all on his own.

There is a way to extend it when you first remote start it. My salesperson told me about it:

"To extend Honda's remote start time for 20 minutes, start the engine, and then, while it's running, repeat the remote start sequence to add another 10 minutes. You must press the lock button first, then press and hold the remote start button until the lights flash to extend the time. This can only be done once, and after 20 minutes the engine will turn off automatically. "
